Bought it to work with Dell XPS 13 laptop.Works perfectly.NB. The Dell XPS 13 burns through power adapters because the connector inside the laptop wears out quickly. This means the laptop stops seeing the adapter as genuine and gives an error message (that it isn't the right adapter) and the battery shows "plugged in and not charging". So just to be clear, I bought this adapter but got the same error message, then replaced the connector inside the laptop with a new one - and it now works. Dell are very naughty to put such a cheap connector inside their expensive laptops! It has a plastic tab with a screw in it so after a bit of use the plastic breaks, the connector becomes wobbly and the inside fitting stops working. The BIOS (f2 key on start-up opens the settings) shows the Wattage isn't being picked up so the laptop says it is not a genuine DELL adapter even if it is.

Excellent replacement adaptor. Rapid shipment, works like a charm and battery is charging as normal.

2nd Purchase , bought one a couple of years back . But inadvertently swapped when in office and ended up with someone a few months back . Bad luck for me that one stopped working , as it could not be recognised by the Laptop . These type of PSU have a communication cable for identification purposes . Not easy to repair and as I was working from home needed one ASAP .Arrived 2PM , has placed ordered at 3PM the previous day - So great serviceProduct is an original , same details on back of PSU as failed one . So Happy with purchases.One peace of advise , the cable is designed to wrap around and clip on to side of a PSU for minimise storage space . The reason these can fail , is due to the additional cable for comms that can break when being stretched . So do not over stretch when putting away , or better still dont wrap around PSU .

The charger works fine. However I doubt the one I have received is original, unless Dell has remade their chargers.The original one that came boxed with the laptop (the one which failed -- hence the replacement), was lighter and shaped differently.Taking one star off since I don't think it's genuine.(I will come back with photos to back up my claim when I get home.)

We bought this item on February 19th 2020 and it stopped working early December, although we haven't used it very often. It didn't even lasted a year. We decided to purchase it because we experienced the exact same issue with the original device. We don't want to buy a new ac adaptor every year. As the PC is now out of warranty we are unable to send Dell an email about this issue. Poor product and poor service I'm afraid. This problem has been reported by other users so Dell should address this issue.

OEM so a quality item. Can get after market for a few pounds cheaper but why risk it on a £1,300 laptop?Having 2 means that I done have to carry the original between home and work. Should have done it when I first bought the laptop.

What's not to like it is exactly what is described a genuine dell charger identical to the one that came with my XPS I leave one connected to my Dell hub, which also charges the laptop when it is connected to my monitor, keyboard and mouse at home and leave one in my workbag for when my laptop comes to work with me.So happy am buying another for my grandson who received an XPS from Santa for his college work

A succession of knock-off, cheap bricks and my XPS13 had slowed to a crawl. Forums suggested that an OEM power supply could fix it. Well, what do you know? It did.Still having issues but with confidence in the power supply it's made it easy to determine it's a battery problem. Very happy to have paid just a little extra for something that does the job properly.
