Disappointment!
This is such a disappointing purchase. I've owned a Tivoli radio for years and loved the sound quality. I upgraded to DAB thinking it would be of similar quality and as easy to use, sadly it isn't! The setup is poor! The app is flawed in so many ways all I can say is good luck in the process of trying to get it to work. The panel is so dim and impossible to view. There is nothing positive I can say about this radio.

Wrong type of cable.
When I opened the box I realised that it had a European socket on it. Not ideal as I will now need to buy an adapter or get a different power cable.

GREAT SOUND and GOOD LOOKS vs APPALLING ERGONOMICS
I have been a Tivoli user for over ten years. I have a faithful red rubber PAL that is needing it's third replaceable battery. I love that radio, it sounds amazing, it's easy to tune and it feels rock solid in the hand.On the strength of that I bought a model one fm/am radio and cd player with the second speaker about 8 years ago. It sounds wonderful, the radio is perfect and the cd player, sounds great but is will not play or eject printed cd's. You have to give it a whack to get the cd out.Despite that niggle when the time came to buy a new dab unit I only ever considered a tivoli because i felt I could integrate it with my current second speaker and cd player. What a crushing disappointment it has turned out to be. Quite apart from the fact I cannot connect it to my existing system it's a NIGHTMARE to use. Just turning it on and off is a chore. The start up is sooooo long, The DAB is never on the station you left it, and turning that dial to select a new station is pot luck if you are going to over shoot it or not. THere is no resistance on that beautiful large rotary dial, no way of telling wether it's going to jump three stations or just not respond at all, it's infuriating. The wifi networking is unreliable, in that I will still hear my music selection but my phone will stop talking to the radio so that I can no longer skip a track or change the volume, or anything for that matter, it just carries on doing whatever it was doing when it lost contact with the phone. And speaking of volume, it just changes on it's own, once, about ten seconds after it's switched on, but not all the time, just most of the time, and turning it back up or down is a fiddly business anyway with that plasticky little dial that is sort of fouled by the wobbly rotary dial. Turning it off is also a pain! Why do you have to hold it down for so long?I really regret buying this radio, I have loved and recommended this brand to many friends but no longer. Despite it's good looks and it's admittedly still excellent sound, I never look forward to using it. It's a huge downgrade from the analogue radio which just 'worked'.

Worthless
Total rubbish! Basic fm radio is made difficult. Every time you start the radio you need to change to "preset mode". The rotary dial is very inaccurate, you don't know if it will jump 1,2 or 3 presets forward or nothing at all. Can't find all stations that my car radio can, that practically don't have an antenna at all. When changing to a new station the previous station will still play for about two seconds. Have can it be this slow to react? To view the display you need to lower your head to the same level. Otherwise you can't se anything. The display almost evertime show the wrong time and date. Wi-fi functions are slow. No tune-in support. The app is a joke. From the app you can't change from a preset to another, you can't even search forward to the next available station. You need to scroll it manually which is very slow and you would need to know which frequencies the stations are on. Everytime you want to do something with the app you need to choose "soundgroup" which is annoying if you only have one radio/speaker. Only good thing about this radio is how it looks. Sound is pretty ok but too heavy bass. The radio would need some more buttons eg. preset buttons to make it easier to use. The app needs to be way much better. Will send my radio back.

Beautiful design, beautiful sound
I am a bit obsessed with this product. I had wanted a proper digital radio for ages but nothing I liked would integrate with Spotify and a lot of them had quite clumsy designs that didn't fit with the design of my home. The Model One Digital was the answer. I bought mine in black from the Art collection and I love it! I can't believe the level of functionality it has given it operates with just two beautifully designed dials. I'm a big star wars fan and they reminded me of the kind of radio an operative on a Star Destroyer might have in the original trilogy. It also came on time!

Frustrating to use and very poor customer service form Tivoli Audio
It looks good and it sounds great but it is almost impossible to use as it requires a phone app for initial set up and to select internet radio stations. It cannot remember which internet radio stations it has been tuned into so you always need to go back to the app. Not possible to just switch on and go. With mine DAB+ did not work and Tivoli Audio tried to argue that it was because I did not have DAB reception in my area even though I have another DAB radio which works perfectly. Refused to honour warranty because product was not bought direct from their online store so beware if buying one on Amazon or any other online retailer. Please see reviews for the Tivoli Audio ART App on the Apple App Store. It is pants.
