Correct size
I bought this item to give me support in my bed due to recently breaking my shoulder. This product gives great support for my shoulder also it's great for anyone who suffers from asthma, and copd. It's easy to use one handed and has easy to adjust to the height required. It has helped me to get proper nights sleep. I use this on my double bed, it can also be used on the standard single bed. I like the basic design and the quality. The size is good for me, check the measurements to make sure this product will fit the place you may be using it

Comfortable
Thought this had to be put together. It is as in the picture and comes that way. Should have seen the huge box it came in. Was going post it to family, but now unsure as to what to do with it.Good idea for elderly, will get it to her eventually

Adustable back rest.
Very good. It's straightforward. The only thing I would add is an extension that you sit on so you won't need something to stop it from sliding backwards.

Useful and comfortable
I bought this for my 93 year old mother so that she can use it to sit up and watch TV in bed. It allows resting at a more comfortable angle than the vertical bed head permits (even with a stack of pillows). There is a choice of angle settings and the mechanism does't slip out of the slot. The first time she used it she jabbed her arm on the frame hinge. Now she lines it with pillows for best comfort. It takes up 0.5m at the top of the bed but there is still enough leg room. One problem in use is that she tends to gradually slide down off the backrest. Putting it in place and removing it again when she want's to lie down is also a bit of an effort but it is not too heavy and so she can manage it herself. It is only suitable for use where the frame base can rest against the bedhead or a wall otherwise it will slip out from under you.
