Pre-warning that this will be a long review, as I want to explain how it helped me for others that might have had similar issues. First, about the probiotics themselves. I personally think the size is great as they’re quite petite (as per the picture) and the capsules go down easily with some water due to a plastic-like coating. When you open the tube there is a slight smell, but it isn’t an unpleasant. The fact that they are vegetarian/vegan is also a huge plus, as I try not to consume too much animal product. I began taking these to hopefully stop my reoccuring BV, as I’d had multiple courses of antibiotics and also used gels such as Canesbalance - the latter just seemed to stop symptoms for a few days before coming on again. I first got BV in October 2017 and got prescribed a short course of antibiotics. I was then all clear until December 2017 when it came back after a period. I had another course of antibiotics, which killed the infection, but then my BV came back every month following/during each period and I had to avoid baths and perfumed products after treatment as that also bought it on. After a while, the nurse suggested trying things like Canesbalance instead of antibiotics, which I tried with no improvement. However, I was not treated with antibiotics this time so I purely did the 7 day gel treatment (which should treat the problem) and then once a week afterwards. However, it would only last a few days so it would make me paranoid and cause me to take them frequently so the cost of was racking up. Maybe had I also had antibiotics, these would have prevented reoccurrence - but I generally found the gels a bit messy and I didn’t feel comfortable to use them when staying at my partner’s house. I read a few articles online where people had said probiotics in conjunction with other tablets helped, so I thought I would try probiotics alone to begin with. I opted for Optibac as the price on here seemed reasonable compared to some other brands and it also had some good reviews. I purchased the 30 capsule option to begin with (thank god it was available then, as it isn’t now and I think I would have gone for another type rather than 14 or 90). I started off with one a day, and two weeks after taking them my period started with the usual signs of the infection (tmi - very watery with an unusual smell) so I doubled up on the capsules which it says you can do. On the second day of my period things started to look more regular (thicker). After my time of the month had finished, I asked the nurse for antibiotics to hopefully get rid of the infection. I then continued to take two a day until my next period, which appeared normal. The infection was normally evident no later than 2 days following my period when it reoccurred. This time around I was still fine. I kept taking two a day until a week after the end of the first period that followed the antibiotics course, just to be sure, and then cut down to one a day. The day before my next period I started taking two again, until the end of my period (just to be cautious) before going back to one and it has still been clear. So far I am 3 months clear of it, and I have doubled up again for my current period. However, if I remain clear this time I may try just taking one pill every day (including on my period) as then that means I won’t go through them as quickly. Now that I know they work for me I have gone for the 90 capsule option as I am happy to make that investment. The only downside now is that i’m worried it will come back if I ever stop taking them! But I think I will at least continue with these for another few months before trying to go without and will possibly still take them during my period as that is what seems to bring it on. So overall, this has helped keep the BV away meaning I no longer feel self conscious when doing things like my martial arts or being intimate with my partner. To me that makes it 100% worth the money.

I took my time to find this product and went with it based on the great reviews. I can say that it definitely did work after just a few days. I was smelling fresh again down there and very happy with the results, however for me it didn't last, the thrush symptoms would still come and go. I took Optibac for 1 month, kept mine refrigerated and had 2 capsules each morning. I just think it wasn't the right product for me, I have since switched to another with a higher count of live cultures, hoping it will work consistently this time.

Been a life saver and God send. I have had months and months of issues with Thrush and H-Pylori. Never had the issue until after months of Antibiotocs and knock backs. After seeing a brilliant review on here, and the GP saying you need to take a probiotic with your Antibiotocs (yes I have to pay!) I started these. After a few days for the first time no pain, no irritation and no tears. Then it came back a little. I nearly gave up but as instructed I doubled the dose and never looked back. Its the price you have to pay for something to work and if its £40 a month so be it. Just try it and give it a couple of weeks...it may not even be that long. I hold my hand up and tha k Optipac 🙌🏾🥹

Great product and helped me massively, however I ordered in January 2024 and the best before date was September 2024 when they were manufactured in 2022. I forgot to take them for awhile because I didn't need them as much and now they're in the bin with loads left. Not happy.

These are the very best probiotics I have ever ever used for female vaginal health! I am so grateful, thankful, and happy I found this company. Recently, I was having issues getting them on amazon because of stocking issues and the company is based out of the UK. However, I am able to get them again and nothing compares trust me! These are THE VERY BEST and you will see a difference after a few weeks of consistent daily use. Thank you!

Über 1 1/2 Jahre leide ich unter einer chronischen Blasenentzündung. Ich hatte mehrere Spiegelungen und sämtliche Medikamente probiert. Seit ich diese Bakterien nehme, ist es merklich besser geworden. Da ich vieles probiert habe, kann nicht sagen, dass es alleine an den Bakterienkulturen lag. Ich würde sie auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen und werde sie auch weiterhin nehmen.

Me ha gustado mucho. Lo malo que solo venden el de 14 y tardan 1 semana en el envío porque es de UK. Pero note resultados desde el segundo día.
