Spigen KUEL [Q11], Magnetic Phone Holder, Air Vent Circle One Touch 360 Degree Rotatable Easy Application Black

This is a good little gadget. The part that goes on to the air vent has a round, magnetic head, and four rubbery prongs that fit in to the air vent of a car. It comes with a retangular and a round magnet, and you pick the one that fits your case. I tried putting the magnet on the inside of my phone case, but it felt a little loose, so I stuck it on to the outside rear of my phone case, and that works fine.I have the black magnet on a black Spigen case, so it looks okay - hardly noticeable, although it took me a while to get used to the ridge it makes on the back of my phone case. You can also stick it directly on to the back of your phone, but that didn't appeal to me.The only downside I find is that the rubbery prongs on the holder pull out of the air vent fairly easily when I take the phone back off. This is presumably to stop it damaging the vent, but it took me several uses to master the knack of pulling the phone back off without also pulling the magnetic holder back of the vent - I still find that it happens from time to time, although it's not difficult to fit it back in.There is a little goove round the magnet on the phone holder. You can see it in the pictures. I find that lint gathers in it, and I end up having to blow it clean every now and again. If you are very car proud, you might find that irritating. I'm pleased with it, however, as it does just what it describes, and feels decent value for the money.

Quick and discreet way to hold your phone in the car so it's easy to access the screen for satnav, music etc. I opted for this after my Anker phone dash mount (which served me well for months) was 'interfered with' by a curious child while my back was turned, a trauma from which it never fully recovered.I decided that having something that sticks out tantalisingly at child's eye level is probably not a good idea, especially if it also relies on suction or sticky pads that can be damaged. Went for this based on the low price, the good reviews, the easy and quick fitting and as I already have a Spigen Ultra Hybrid case on the phone, I was confident the magnet would work through the case.I've been using it daily since purchase several weeks ago, and am pleased with it. The magnets are strong, as is the grip that holds it to the air vent. It has never fallen off during a drive and should any naughty little fingers prise it off, it is easily slipped straight back onto the vent, no damage done.The only slight problem I have is that the air vent tends to tilt downwards with the weight of the phone after a while, and it's only an iphone 5 so not big or heavy... though I suspect that is more to do with the looseness of the vent than the Spigen holder, it is an 11 year old car after all. A minor niggle, but just something you should bear in mind if you have vents that swivel about very easily, or if having your phone change angle slightly under it's own steam would really bother you. Works perfectly through the phones case too.

Very nice little item and currently my favourite tech accessory!Love the convenience of it and no messing around with windscreen mounts! Keeps my view of the road unobscured and with a phone as large as the 6s Plus this is important!Be aware that this holder will not work with all cars as some vents can be an odd shape. For example it works perfectly in my e46 (2003) and e90 (2009) BMWs but it does not fit at all in my Wifes 2012 Ford Focus.It's also a shame that Spigen only make two case that can integrate the metal plate inside. If you don't use one of these cases you will have to stick the metal backing to your phone and believe me it will be an utter nightmare to remove as the adhesive is very strong. You can simply place the metal plate inside your case loosely however it will move around leaving an inconsistent mount point. Another thing to consider is that if you aren't using one of Spigens specially made cases and your (non Spigen) case will no longer sit flat on a surface and the phone will rock when using it on a table.This wasn't an issue for me as I am using Spigens thin fit case but you may want to consider whether you want to stick a metal plate on your phone or the drawbacks this brings as mentioned above.

I absolutely love this phone holder, when I first purchased it I thought for the price I was paying it would be cheap and gimmicky, but I was very far from the truth.The product is nice and dainty, when attached to the car air vents it doesn't look clunky or stand out, it looks sleek and blends in well. The magnet provided has such a good strength to it, I can just tap my phone to the vent magnet (the other magnet is attached to my phone case) and it sticks with no faffing.I've been using this product for quite some time now and I have yet to either knock the phone off the magnet or have it fall while driving. The grip is just unbelievable.The only negative I would have about this product (and it's not really a negative that can be avoided) is that the magnet required to attach to the phone can look rather unappealing. If you have a see-through phone case, the magnet will usually be stuck on the phone case (it can be stuck on the phone but the glue on the magnet is extremely strong so beware as you may damage the surface when you want to take it off!).Having a big black magnet showing through my see-through phone case didn't look too great, but again, this isn't really the products fault but thought I should mention in my review to alert people so they can get a new case at the same time as buying this holder if a visible magnet will bother them.Overall, extremely impressed with this product, does the job it was designed for and looks stylish, the grip is really strong with no slips so far and an affordable price for the holder. What more could you want?
