I have bee using his for near on 15 years and it never fails to impress...a very well kept secret and if I had a £1 for the times women have stopped my and asked what are you wearing I would be very very wealthy. I guess the best compliment I have ever had was from a waitress who quietly told me after having dinner in a restaurant that what ever I was wearing was making her wet and that even your girlfriends who where working with her kept talking about 'this' guy with an amazing scent...not only did she give me her number but ive had complimentary drinks at that place ever since! Keep well stocked up as this is hard to get and so it should be, the average joe has no idea it exists and if any bloke asks me I just tell them its something cheap I picked up at superdrug... secrets are meant to be kept, and the less people that know about this the better simply because when you wear it and go out you are noticed among all the high street junk!

The male population in London in the late 90s seems to have been pretty much split between Issey Miyake's L'Eau D'Issey (mainly City of London types - the entire financial district reeked of it) and this one, a much more subtle Carolina Herrera, usually worn by people in media, arts and of course the clubland. While the latter was totally gorgeous in its heyday, the formulation you can get a hold of today is - as is apparently the case with so many other vintage fragrances - a bitterly disappointing shadow of its former self. It desperately lacks depth, oomph and sophisticated richness it once had, it's nowhere near as sexy and alluring and it most certainly doesn't merit the rather high asking price, so bear that in mind when making your choice.
