I got this thermos for my dad, after initially buying him a regular flask as he found it too bulky. He chose the cherry red colour - which looks even better in person! It’s got a high gloss shine to it and feels lovely! The quality is fantastic—it feels really sturdy, and the insulation is exactly what was needed. My dad likes to take a hot drink up to bed, and this keeps it warm all night, which is exactly what I was hoping for (from 10pm - 7am it’s staying hot if not longer)The size is perfect too— by holding a few cups of tea/coffee it works well to serve him enough to drink, but stays lightweight so it’s easy for him to carry upstairs without any issues. The leak-proof lid is a great feature as well, and it has an easy push open/close topper (ideal as I was trying to find one without an unscrew lid and stuff).I know the thermos brand is a little more expensive than your standard flask but I agree with other reviewers in saying the quality is actually second to none and it’s worth every penny - really high quality for sure.

This is great when I don't want a flask due to the size. It has a screw off lid but also a sippy lid so can be used when travelling. It holds plenty, stays hot and looks good. Best of all... NO PLASTIC... other manufacturers please take note...

This Thermos is just awesome!Firstly it looks incredible. East to see that this is a high quality piece of kit. The red colour just pops and looks extremely classic , while the shape and design make it looks like a timeless masterpiece and the handle is so solid and strongIt holds 470ml, which for me is about one and half cups. The size is well balanced and distributed, and the handle makes it easy to hold, even with big man handsThe lid is secure, leak free and easy to open / close with just a simple little turn and it pours out nicely without worrying about missing your mouth and half of it going down your faceI haven't used this for more than a few hours at a time, but it definitely does its job at keeping your drinks hot or cold for hours on endI was a bit unsure about spending £25 on this when you can get cheap ones for less than a tenner, but you really do get what you pay forThermos quality. Looks great. Keeps drinks hot or cold for hours. Definitely good value for money and I would highly recommend

Thermos 101829 Stainless King Travel Mug, Midnight Blue, 470 ml , Large. With handle.I purchased this at twice the price of another brand, which I returned as it barely kept anything hot for an hour. Posted full review of this, using boiling water & taking the temperature every hour, to demonstrate how naff it was.Started to repeat the same experiment with this mug, but as the temperature had not dropped in the first hour, thought it pretty pointless to continue. Thermos are a brand known for first class products that work & this product does not disappoint.Having to pay double the price hurt, but this Thermos really does work. Being stainless, one can just tosh in boiling liquid without having to pre-warm (as you have to do with glass units, else they explode)The outside stays cold, showing the insulation is working (unlike the competitor, which would warm up very quickly)I find it best to pre-warm the mug using the remaining water in the kettle. Pour in your drink when it is, or just above your preferred drinking temperature, screw on the lid & then close the open/close tab (this stops pressure build up inside & spitting when opening). A final check, I always invert over the sink to ensure no leaks.The reason for this strange procedure is to ensure no scolds when drinking. If you poured a just made tea/coffee into it, it would be far too hot to drink.I don't know if the mug is dishwasher proof, but with the anodised finish, I don't risk it. It only takes a few seconds to hand wash.The lid is a little more complex as it can be disassembled for cleaning. Would suggest practicing this when new and carefully lay out each piece, the correct way up, when disassembling. Most times, it can be cleaned without disassembling, just move the tab to 'open' and swish about in soapy water.I'm delighted with the product and would think it will last many years. It does come with a five year warrantee, so keep the receipt. The weak point as far as I can see is the plastic lid and open/close lever. It looks very thin & I think this is the part to fail first. I would have like to have seen this lever substantially fatter. I understand that Thermos do sell replacement lids, but they cost half that of the whole mug.

Just brilliant!Brilliant thermos mug.Hot drinks actually stay HOT for hours.Outercasing stays cool to touch.Accidentally left one for 24 hours, and drink was still warm!

This will keep a hot drink too hot to drink for around six hours and so far, has been completely leakproof, despite dropping it a couple of times.The only tricky thing is how to take the lid apart to clean it properly - but that's really simple once you know how.1. Turn the lid to Open.2. Turn the plastic 'nut' anticlockwise, applying a bit of downwards pressure as you do it.3. Pop the disc off.I think it's absolutely worth the money, as long as you know that you will not be able to drink from it for hours unless whatever it is happens to be at perfect drinking temperature already. Or you stick it on the side whilst you work, with the lid completely undone and just placed loosely on the top of the cup, not sealed at all - that way, your 8am coffee is just about cool enough to drink by midday.

Very happy with the cup. Really keeps the drying hot for long, top is easy to take apart for deep cleaning. Also the cap has two drinking gaps so cap is for left and right handed. Doesn't leak even if not fully tightened. Overall cup feels very high quality and the design is very impressive. Highly recommended.
