Q: Can these be worn over normal spectacles?0

Yes they can. I wear them over mine. The fact is they are so large they don't fit on a child's face without them holding them in place. So with something to rest on (existing glasses) they actually fit better! Funny enough my 3 year old was playing with these this week. He loves them, knows all his colour mixes from them. It's no bother for him to hold them in place as they are only on for two seconds in any case 
