I have bought this shotgun cleaning accessory several times both for personal use and as a prize draw novelty at one of my clubs. It is a remarkably simple item. Easy and quick to use and very robust. The heavy gauge para cord has a small weight to drop through the barrel. The material has some rough metal woven into it. Pull it through the barrel twice, adding a little cleaning lubricant every other clean. The cleaner will retain lube. It scrapes with the rough metal, cleans and polishes with the cloth. Simple. It has to be said that a full and proper cleaning will still have to be done but this quickly and easily gets rid of most cartridge residue before it has a chance to dry, harden and become harder to remove. Great product, easy to clean and store. A little pricey but very happy with the purchase, worth it!

I mean, it works, it's a folding bit of metal, it's not hard to get it to work. But it's too tall, too many panels, too fiddly and therefore will sit in the box if never used gear while I find a better sized replacement for this

Sad to say this didn't work for me. Try as I might, I just couldn't pull it through the barrels. It got 10cm in and then stuck fast, and it took a lot of effort to get it back out. I checked the packaging and the code confirmed that the right item had been delivered. I've tried a couple of 'miracle' cleaning devices now and I have to say, it's better to stick with the tried and tested equipment from companies like Beasley and Napier.

Splendid and for the price posted you really can't go wrong. Item certainly seems as good quality as a Hoppes made snake and a fantastic saving. In fact it could be the same item without the Hoppes packaging.

It's definitely faster than a rod and brush. I use it on a semi auto so the fact that the barrel gets more use it takes two or three pull throughs to get barrel clean but I very pleased with results.

a bore snake really is a superb way to clean your gun quickly after a days shoot. You wont get the pressure of a proper cleaning bore or a wire brush but you will get a very good clean after a single pull through; I carry mine in the case on the shoot and maybe pull it through halfway through the day etc. handy to have and easy to use; highly recommended

A must for shotgun clean kit.well made, price is very good.
