Lovely calm game
Pros:This game is great to casual board gamers who want something beautiful to play. The pieces, cards, and boards are all gorgeous and it is lovely to look at. It is quite a slow paced game where you are not really interacting too much with other players, so if you don't like being ganged up on it is brilliant. It is very calming and enjoyable for a couple of rounds.Cons:I could see some more competitive board gamers getting a little board of this game after awhile. It is not very competitive, and you are focusing on what you are doing and not what others are doing. People who like more cooperative or attack/defense style games would probably only want to play a few rounds.

So addictive
Very addictive little game, we play it a lot, currently our top favourite game, despite owning a wide range of board games. We play as 2-player game and usually finish a game within 15 minutes. Ideal for weekday evenings.

Watch a YouTube video to learn
The instructions are somewhat difficult to follow and my partner and I spent roughly an hour trying to figure it out, reverting to a YouTube video in the end. However it was great once we got going and the art style is gorgeous. A lot of love and care was taken into making this game and it clearly shows.

Brilliant Expansion
The board game Kanagawa is lovely and gentle and so when I found this expansion was interested what it would bring, which is more ways to play and continued fab artwork.In fact the small box that this Yokai expansion comes in will house the base games as well if you remove the plastic inserts, so suddenly becomes very portable - highly recommend

Enjoyable, beautifully made, good value game
An excellent game, especially for the price. Easy to pick up but with strategic depth. Game pieces are well made and the art is as beautiful as any tabletop game I've played.
