Frank’s RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Hot Sauce, Medium Spicy, 3.8L

Bought for regular home use, as we get through the supermarket bottles too quickly, and wanted soemthing more cost effective, and it's everything we hoped for: it's really easy to refill the 354ml bottles (turns out it's a screw cap!) directly from this bottle, and there's no taste difference or anything, and even the consistency seems really, well, consistent. I get the impression it has a good shelf life, even once open, but I'm not sure we'll be able to test this, as we just seem to get through it too quickly.

Excellent value, very nice and well worth buying if you love Franks Red Hot Pepper Sauce. Would definitely buy again when I’ve finished this one.

Best purchase a man can make. Same stuff as the small bottles, only thing to watch out for is the cap leaked slightly when i put it on its side after opening. Kept it upright till i drank below the cap.

Couldn't stand this sauce as it contain's way too much vinegar for my liking, but bought it for my wife, who likes it very much. Made her really happy. It's very important to shake the bottle well before use. Make sure it's properly closed and turn upside down at least few times. Otherwise You will get just vinegary liquid from the top. I'm beginning to like it slowly, but only as a marinde for meat. Especially chicken. Salt, sauce on chicken tights to be kept in the fridge overnight, than covered in self raising flour, sprayed with oil and baked in Philips airfyer- much better than any deep fried chicken I can buy in London. That's my private opinion. Now one of my wife's favourite- buffalo wings. Made Frank's sauce so famous. My take on it, as she loves RedHot- probably more than me. I use it 3 times during cooking these. First as a marinade, as above. Good quality wings cut in 3, smallest pieces I use for chicken stock. 2 cuts salted a bit + sauce, kept overnight. To be covered in self rising flour (in the plastic bag some flour, wings, shake well), sprayed with oil. Baked in airfryer, but not to be totally done. Than I do mix some butter with sauce (few spoons), melt butter in microwave first (takes seconds). Put half of mixture in the bowl, throw wings there, to be covered (hot so use two spatulas)- get them back to airfyer for two minutes, once done, cover them them in the same bowl with the rest of mix. For me, it tastes like I was drinking this sauce straight from the bottle, but wife loves it so much- I make them at least twice a month. Goes really well home made tzatzyki sauce in separate bowl.

I like this stuff not because cayenne is the most delicious chilli, or because Frank's is a particularly great hot sauce, but rather because it's a pretty basic ingredients list - as close to a basic ferment + stabilising/liquifying acid as I've seen commercially (it adds a little garlic) making it a convenient way to add some heat by liquid when that's preferable.

Great value for money. My favourite hot sauce for when I don't want too much heat, flavour is lovely. First time buying the large bottle, wish I done it sooner.
