Nice to Have, But .....
My friend had highly recommended this product to me, due to the fit and grips. Now that I have a pair, I've concluded these are nice to have, but I'm not sure if I would purchase them again.I bought this product to replace an old pair. My old pair of ankle guards were very basic and took almost 5 years to wear out. So I was really excited to have an updated,higher-quality pair.THE FIT: Once I broke them in, the fit was great! They fit snugly around my feet and stayed in place. But, it took me over a month to break them in. And, until they are broken in, be prepared to give yourself time to put them on and take them off. The first time I wore them, I had to have my husband peel them off of me because they were so tight. Also, (about 6-8 weeks) I started to notice that the stitching around my ankle deteriorated - I'm guessing this was due to all the rigorous pulling.THE GRIPS: these are nice to have. I did feel the difference of having the grips. But they aren't essential to me. The same friend that recommended this product to me, also mentioned that after a year, the grips started wearing and came off.These guards are priced on the higher end. The durability of the material is above average. But I'll probably give another brand a chance before I go back to these.

Not worth the price
First, they run really tight, I got the M size based on the recommendations but wasn't sure I would be able to get them on once I opened the package. After struggling to put them on without tearing them up, they actually felt ok after training 2 or 3 times with them, with nice support and good grip thanks to the red ruber thingies on the sole. Unfortunately, 3 times is all it took for those red thingies to start disappearing (and I am training on mats, not concrete...). After 5 muay thai training sessions, the foot grips are now slippery (much more than regular fabric ones) and useless. On top of that, the stitching on the pair I received is kind of approximate, threads are sticking out from several spots. The prints are also wearing off. I am really unimpressed, especially at that price. I'd rather buy 3 pairs of regular muay thai ankle support.
