Let me start by saying I do not smoke.I am a bloke and I like stuff, and like most blokes, fire holds an attraction (no, I'm not an arsonist!) its just human nature.The lighter is beautifully presented in a smokey chrome finish with a beautifully ornate ace of spades (the reason I purchased - it matches my name) which is either etched or engraved, either way it is outstanding.Zippo lighters are extremely tactile although I also own an Austrian made IMCO which have a greater heritage than zippo and are far more practical than zippos (have a look on you tube) although not as easy on the eye.Of course if you do not use the lighter every day you will find the fuel evaporates before you use it - a problem with IMCO lighters too. I have found the perfect solution though, for about £20 you can purchase the Thunderbird butane insert http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003IRNUQI/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which fits into your zippo perfectly.Being engraved or (etched?) means you shouldn't have to worry about any kind of transfer print wearing off, which was my main consideration in purchasing this over other similar designs, but be warned it is so beautifully polished that it gets covered in finger prints within moments.An Iconic lighter at a great price.

Now, I needed a decent windproof lighter as I often find myself needing to light camping stoves in less-than-pleasant weather conditions, that is to say, raining and pouring whilst the wind is biting like an angry dog and the supposed "windproof" matches that I had been accustomed to using, had been failing me when I most needed them. It may be tempting to spend a fiver on some of the cheaper windproof lighters out there, but I can honestly say, hand on heart, that no other lighter stands up to unfavorable lighting conditions than Zippos'. I waited a few months before leaving this review (as these sort of things have a tendency to age with the grace of a glass of milk on a warm day) and I am pleased to report that aside from a few scratches here and there, a result of my own clumsiness, the lighting mechanism still works after the first strike even after several flint changes and I am yet to require a change of wick. Yes ladies and gentlemen, this is indeed worth every penny you spend on it. Oh and it comes with a lifetime "repair-or-replace" warranty to boot.

Firstly I felt I had to leave a review as I had such amazing customer service - the lighter arrived and looks better than in the pictures as most of the other reviews have stated. I'd definitely recommend it as it has the wow factor and comes in a lovely zippo box. I had ordered this as a gift and it had a slight defect - maybe not noticeable to a passing eye but I noticed it straight away. I was very disappointed.One email to Amazon and surprisingly I had a reply probably within an hour and a replacement on its way! Fab!

If you ship out of UK, you might have a troublesome experience, as I did. But once sorted out the shipment arrived well packaged and quick.As for the lighter, it has a nice, durable design (carved into metal) and is over all very nice in the looks department.However if you are not a constant user (smoker), refills will be needed every week or so to keep it running (although this will be necessary for all Zippo lighters). The light runs well and is quite wind proof if filled.The biggest downside is the case fitting. The insides get fidgety quite quickly (in a moth, or after a few refills, when you take the insides out). And then all sorts of problems occur, like the top part not closing properly and insides falling out when lighting or doing tricks. Nonetheless this is to be expected from the value of the lighter, which for the money is of course not Top Grade. Also the case can be adjusted quite easily with a pair of pliers and a YouTube video.Thus is a good item for it's worth, I like it very much and use often.

Makes a great 'cling' noise when opened. I have the butane insert. Great feel in the hand. Excellent at cigar lighting. Highly recommend

Very cool lighter. I thought that the symbol was on both side instead is just on one but looks really cool anyway. It comes without fuel or replacement so it has to be bought separately. Suggested.

The photo really doesn't do it justice - it is a beaut. The image (engraving?) doesn't look like a cheap job either, and hopefully it'll hold up to many years of use. Also has that distinctive Zippo 'click' which some in the range, including my previous one, doesn't have. Lovely chrome finish, too.

Qual è il risultato del connubio Amazon + Zippo?Senza ombra di dubbio: Eccellente!Accendino ordinato nel pomeriggio , arrivato impeccabile il mattino seguente per un regalo di compleanno last minute. Il tutto dopo aver girato mezza città per cercare uno zippo che mi piacesse. Il risultato? Aver trovato solo poche tabaccherie che possedevano qualche esemplare, con costi maggiorati di almeno 10-15 euro.Affranto torno a casa, apro Amazon, e il mattino seguente mi ritrovo con un oggetto raffinato ( Serigrafia in bassorilievo , quindi NO STAMPA), di fattura eccellente e dal costo quasi ridicolo.Consigliata!

Un très joli briquet.Le capot brinquebale un peu au niveau de la mini vis de charnière mais nous avons demandé l'échange et le nouveau briquet fait pareil. Nous l'avons conservé, de toute façon le briquet est garanti à vie alors pas de souci.Pensez à acheter l'essence avec car il est livré vide !
