Replacement ball for senses circuit
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This toy has revived our cats' interest in the senses circuit - Catit Design Senses Super Roller Circuit this great toy had kept our cats entertained for weeks till the batteries of the ball ran out. Thankfully this ball is affordable (£2.49 at time of writing) and comes with one set of batteries to get you going. There are some really cheap sets of batteries on Amazon too.The catties love the ball outside the toy but when its in the toy - they never lose it and play with it on their own to their hearts' contents - especially when we are too tired to entertain her. Recommend!***please click "yes" below if you found this helpful, otherwise please comment for how I can improve my review***

Cannot withstand 2 kittens playing with it.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Ok, so the kittens love this ball, sadly however, it split in half after around 1-2 minutes of play, the small batteries falling out. (the ball itself screws together) So we screwed it all back together, and tried again, however the same thing happened. (You can see in the video near the end where the ball just breaks apart)The screw treads just aren't strong enough, you can over twist it and it will break open, nevermind some play from 2 kitties.I contacted Catit, and they replied, saying they had not had any other complaints about this product, however they would send a replacement, great, fantastic, it may have been we got a dud.The replacement arrived, and we set it up in our Catit senses super circuit, but yet again after only a few minutes play the ball broke apart.I contacted Catit again, to explain that it seems its a fault with the actual product itself and not just the one we initially received. This time they never responded.I did manage a work around by gluing the ball together careful not to have any glue on the outside of the ball, using E6000, but i doubt i will be able to replace the battery once it dies. - so if you don't mind having to work around with glue, then its a great wee ball that our kittens adore. But I was disappointed with the customer service from Catit themselves and this product, considering we have many other Catit products that I would HIGHLY recommend, such as the Catit grass, Catit sense Circuit, Catit Digger, Catit self groomer & Catit Scratching boards with catnip, all fantastic products.

Cheaply made,Choking hazard!
DO NOT BUY THIS!I ordered one of these for the ball circuit(from Catit!) to replace one of the (sturdier)green balls that we had originally (the battery inside the ball died). My first impression wasn't a very good one. The ball itself feels like it was made with a cheaper plastic than the usual green balls. It wouldn't "lock" securely by twisting the top. It broke open a few times so I had to get rid of it. These balls take those tiny batteries that you use in penlight torches e.g. so it's not ideal for your cat's toy to be breaking open and exposing them(they literally fell straight out!) :0 I didn't want to risk any of my two moggies swallowing a battery!Cheaply made, potential choking hazard(batteries). Not suitable for unsupervised play (or rough play moggies!) Definitely not worth the risk with small animals(or children)

pouncing and chasing like their lives depend on it
It's midnight and there's a rattle downstairs. It's the cats batting a red light around a circuit, pouncing and chasing like their lives depend on it.From the number of times this has happened, we can safely say the cats like it.Or really hate it...Either way, they use it and that's more than what a lot of people can say for cat toys.

this flashes red which is not ideal - green or blue would be better for both pets and humans
If there was a choice of colours for the LED I missed it, this flashes red which is not ideal - green or blue would be better for both pets and humans. The big innovation in this 2.0 light ball compared to competitors is that you can unscrew the housing to replace the batteries (with two standard LR44s). The drawback is that as with all similar toys, cats cannot grip it so it is likely to bang off furniture unless you contain it within a Senses rollercoaster circuit or in a box with some holes cut in the top; and if accidentally crushed underfoot it would present a serious hazard. If they can offer a 3.0 design with a non-slip cover and choice of light colours I will happily upgrade.

Please improve plastic casing, cannot use 🙁
Right, although I'd love to give this 5☆'s as its attractive & work with my cat, he want yo play with it, especually in the dark. However, my cat is only 3 yrs old, the first time he chased the ball, it fell apart. While this function of removing half is good for changing the batteries, it comes away far too easily each time my cat tries to play with it & chase it. I feel putting tape around it frankly defeats the purpose & reason I bought it. It's come away so many times, there must be a weakness. So, although it was the one ball my cat really was attracted too & a great idea, easy to put batteries in, good delivery, we cannot use it right now. It's such a shame as I thought it was great value & had good reviews but I think I'm going to have to pay more for a better quality & more robust item.
