IntroductionThis is my second Netvue camera purchase, the first being a Home Cam. The Home Cam is perfect for the required location as I only needed a fixed view - the Orb Cam is being used in a location where I need to be able to pan and tilt the camera for a complete live view. This review is being written after 5 days usage.PackagingThis is rather robust and reminiscent of the packaging on the various Apple products I have purchased over recent years. A nicely flock lined inner supports the camera properly. A mounting bracket and screws with wall plugs accompanied the mains adapter and usb lead. A small instruction booklet is included too.SetupEasy to follow instructions covered all the setup steps including the downloading of the Netvue app. No missing steps evident so I was up and running in less than 10 minutes. WiFi connection was very straight forward. Shortly after initial the setup the app automatically downloaded and upgraded the camera firmware without any issue - a couple of days later there was another firmware update which I asked the app to handle manually, again without issue.AppI had already downloads the app for my first camera so didn’t need to do so again. I have it installed on both my iPad and my Android phone. I have had no issues with either to date. It is evident that the app is constantly being updated and enhanced, presumably in response to customer feedback.FunctionalityThe app provides the interface to the camera for settings, live video and motion detection photos / videos. You can easily switch from one camera to another as they are listed on entering the app - once you have accessed one camera you simply step back to access another. The Settings option allows you to setSleep mode, either manually or on a scheduleNight mode, either automatically or permanently night or day modeStatus light on or offStartup tone on or offMotion detection on or off as well as setting a schedule and customising the detection zone used by the camera - also sensitivity can be adjusted.Cloud Service optionsYou can also perform a WiFi signal analysis.Once linked with Amazon's Alexa Show you can just say "Alexa show camera_name" and after a few seconds the live camera image appears on screen.ReliabilityI placed the camera behind a window overlooking my driveway, car and the road beyond. Having adjusted the sensitivity to suit this positioning the camera has detected cars driving past, pedestrians walking by and even the steam coming off my boiler vent. I have been particularly impressed with the motion detection - cars driving past at 30 mph have been immediately picked up and an alert pushed to my devices almost simultaneously. Because the camera is sat behind a double glazed window I have turned off night mode to switch off the red LEDs (stops reflection off the glass) but the camera has produced decent images due to light from a street lamp.Live mode has worked flawlessly - it allows me to switch between auto /hd/standard resolutions as well as turn on/off the microphone and also to speak through the camera. The pan & tilt function is quite responsive too.Images are date and time stamped.Value for moneyOverall I have been very impressed with my Orb Cam. I think the combination of camera and app is very good value for money and I have no hesitation in recommending this product. As yet I haven’t decided to subscribe to the Cloud Service but will be considering this option going forward.

The Netvue Orb Camera is fantastic! I now have 2 of these and would like more! The quality is excellent! They seem very sturdy and they come in a lovely white box (reminds me of Apple packaging), so I’m already impressed before I even plug the camera in lol.The actual camera feels very well made and after plugging it in and setting it up which only took a few minutes I was ready to go. The picture quality is brilliant, it’s very very clear and detailed! I’ve placed mine above the curtain in the lounge so I can see my pet through the day if I’m out for longer than usual. That’s my excuse anyway! I just love gadgets really! Lol I’d love them everywhere!When I’m home I have them pointed to the ceiling (for privacy) and when I’m out I can pan and tilt the camera to see anywhere in my lounge.I’ve had cameras that cost triple this and they haven’t been as good as this! Mine has never dropped WiFi signal and it’s virtually instantaneous, meaning I can talk to whoever is in the house through my phone app and through the camera because it has two way audio. I can take photos and record video too straight on my phone. The camera also has customisable motion detection zones and brilliant night view mode.The app itself is so easy to use too. Anybody with half a brain will be able to use it. It’s very self-intuitive so you don’t really need to be tech savvy. You can add several cameras to the app also.I can’t wait to get the Amazon Show for Christmas because it’s compatible with Alexa! So I will be able to go “Alexa show me the lounge” and the camera will be shown on the Echo Show’s screen! How cool is that?! I’m definitely wanting more of these cameras because they are fantastic! So Netvue supplied a unit for review under their reviewer program, and here is a honest review, it was original rated 5 stars because they would only refund the cost of the review unit if I did this! Having said that their customer service has been excellent.Initial setup is really simple BUT you need a STRONG 2.4g wifi signal with no special characters in the password, typical of cheap ip cameras. Additionally where you place it also needs a strong wifi strong, otherwise the pan/tilt gets very intermittent and the camera often drops off the app.Firstly as can be seen the picture quality is very good by day, even through glass. However by night as can be seen you get a hotspot the distance between the camera and the objects is just over 2m that's disappointing. Additionally you cant switch off the IR lights so cannot be used through glass, when day only mode is used at night even with an IR illuminator outside you get next to no picture. That's really disappointing as this would be a useful feature.A really bad point though is that this camera can only be used with the app there is no rtsp or onvif so it cant be used with other software or dvr. That means you have to have a camera in your home that can move and has a microphone that runs through a server who knows where. Hence its in my hedgehog rescue shed. I have a over 10 ip cameras running via BlueIris software on a PC, this is the only one I cant monitor.

Sie arbeitet Tag und Nacht zuverlässig.Die Bildqualität ist über die App sehr gut. Auch die Nachtsicht ist mehr als ausreichend. Die IR-LEDs leuchten den Raum gut aus.Die Bedienung der Kamera über die App ist einfach und intuitiv. Es gibt lediglich leichte Verzögerungen bei der Bild- und Steuerbefehlübertragung. Liegt wohl daran, dass die Aufzeichnung über chinesische Server läuft.Aber diese Verzögerungen fallen kaum ins Gewicht. Natürlich ist es jedem selbstüberlassen, ob er seine Wohnung über chinesische Server laufen lassen möchte (Datenschutz usw.) ;)Ein Aufzeichnen ist ebenfalls möglich. Die Aufnahme wird aber in der Cloud gespeichert. Hier bietet Netvue zwei Abos an. Einmal für einen Monat für $6,99 (gut wenn man nur eine Aufzeichnung benötigt, wenn man im Urlaub ist) oder für 12 Monate für $69,99.Aufpassen, dass man beim Abschließen des Abos den gesetzten Hacken bei "automatische Verlängerung" rausnimmt.Es sei denn man möchte diese automatische Verlängerung!?!Die Kamera bietet auch einen Bewegungssensor, sobald sie jemanden erfasst, wird man benachrichtigt und es wird ein Bild von der Person oder Tier aufgenommen, welches man sich dann auf der App anschauen kann.Somit eignet sie sich auch hervorragend zur Raumüberwachung, wenn man Abwesend ist.Über das Handy-Microfon kann man auch direkt über die Kamera mit der Person im Raum sprechen.Geräusche werden über die Kamera ebenfalls aufgenommen, die man über die App abhören kann.Ihr könnt die Kamera irgendwo hinstellen, an die Wand oder unter die Decke montieren. Passendes Zubehör ist enthalten.Ich kann die Kamera auf jeden Fall für die Leute empfehlen, die keine Probleme damit haben, dass die Videostreams auf chinesische Server gespeichert werden.Viele Grüße!

Ho acquistato questa telecamera da un pò di tempo e quindi posso dare una recensione dopo un bel periodo di funzionamento.Partiamo dall'imballo.La telecamera arriva nella sua scatola ben imballata e protetta.Dopo averla disimballata, la telecamera è ben fatta e la sua struttura sembra solida.La messa in funzione è semplicissima, in 5 minuti la telecamera è già operativa.Si collega il trasformatore alla presa di corrente, si scarica l'app sul telefono e si seguono le istruzioni. Quando ti arriverà sul telefono il codice QR basta avvicinare il telefono all'obiettivo della telecamera e questa farà tutto da sola.L'app è ben fatta, semplice nell'utilizzo e molto intuitiva.Le immagini sono nitide e questa è una bella sorpresa perchè per questa fascia di prezzo non ci si aspetta questa qualità, ed anche la visione notturna è molto buona.Io l'ho messa in un mobile in salotto e grazie al movimento posso vedere tutto il salotto e l'entrata.Dall'app si possono fare tante impostazioni, partire l'orario e i giorni che noi vogliano e addirittura le areee che noi vogliamo sorvegliare.In conclusione, una bellissima telecamera ad un prezzo competitivo stra consigliata e comunque il marchio Netvue è già una garanzia.

Utilizzo questa telecamere da oltre un anno e ne sono contento. L'installazione/configurazione è stata semplice e l'applicazione per smartphone risulta molto intuitiva. Le funzioni che ritengo più utili sono gli avvisi che si ricevono sul telefonino nel caso venga rilevato un movimento e l'audio bidirezionale per dialogare con i familiari. Quando non c'è nessuno a casa, non sarebbe male poter fare emettere alla Orb Cam un suono di allarme nel caso rilevi un movimento. Gli aggiornamenti dell'applicazione sono frequenti....magari arriverà anche questa funzione.

-Installation-Ging mit der Anleitung sehr leicht. Man braucht 2,4GHz W-Lan und muss den Schritten der Anleitung einfach nur genau folgen.Die Kamera funktioniert nur, wenn sie Strom hat (kein Akku) und lässt sich nach Installation leicht über das Smartphone bedienen. Man braucht hierfür die App "Netvue" und muss sich dort einen Account anlegen.Den Strom kriegt die Kamera über einen normalen Mikro-USB-Anschluss. Bei der Kamera war leider ein seltsamer Adapter für eine ausländische (eventuell asiatische?) Steckdose bei, aber ich denke, dass heutzutage fast jeder Haushalt einen normalen USB-Adapter für die Steckdose hat.-Bedienung-Sehr intuitiv. Man kann die Kamera über Fingerwisch drehen und hat so alles gut im Blick. Die Kamera macht dabei ein Geräusch, was kleine Kinder eventuell ängstigen könnte.Man erhält Bild und Ton und die Kamera funktioniert auch gut mit Nachtsicht.Zusätzlich hat man die Möglichkeit über das Mikrofon etwas zu sagen. Mikro und Ton lassen sich manuell ausschalten und man kann jederzeit Fotos oder Videos aufnehmen und diese auf dem Smartphone speichern.Es gibt eine leichte Zeitverzögerung (ca 1 Sekunde), die uns nicht weiter stört.Die Kamera funktioniert, wenn man selber im Wlan ist oder aber auch über mobile Daten. Man kann also locker von der Arbeit aus kontrollieren, was seine Katzen zum Beispiel zuhause gerade so anstellen.Es gibt auch eine Alarm-Funktion: Wenn die Kamera angeschaltet ist und sich etwas im Kamerafeld bewegt, macht sie automatisch Fotos und sendet mir eine Push-Benachrichtigung auf mein Smartphone.Wir haben die Kamera als Ersatz für ein Babyphone angeschafft, gerade wegen der Nachtsicht- und Mikro-Funktion. Hierfür ist die Kamera sehr gut geeignet. Aber auch, um sein Haus zu sichern (Alarm-Funktion) oder für Haustiere.Preis zum Zeitpunkt des Kaufs: 50,99€. Commande reçue rapidement mais avec notice en langues étrangères et avec une prise de secteur à 3 broches, anglaise donc.La notice m'a été envoyé par mail en Français sans que j'ai à réclamer. Concernant la prise de secteur, après un mail de réclamation le vendeur m'a l'a expédié rapidement et gratuitement. Très pro.Pour ce qui est de la caméra, n'en ayant pas testé d'autres auparavant, je dirai que je suis satisfaits. Elle est très belle et plus grosse que je ne l'imaginais. L'image est plutôt claire sauf en vision nocturne, image assez sombre et sans profondeur.Caméra que j'utilise pour vérifier que c'est bien mon chat qui a déclenché l'alarme de la maison sans avoir à me déplacer.
