You may need more than one set, plan how big of a space you need to cover
Not hard to put together. A couple of them were more difficult to snap together, so we turned the tiles and tried again. The tiles locked together smoothly with no gaps or bumps.I personally couldn't skate on them, I don't know why it didn't work for me. I think I just couldn't get used to the small space, or maybe my skates are too dull. I don't know, but it worked great for my daughters. It was neat for them to be able to ice skate in our home! With one set put together, they were able to take two or three strides forward, turn and go back, but not much more. I purchased a second set to increase the size so they can practice different moves.I set it up indoors, because I didn't want to get them dirty outside right away. Just so you know, there is a lubricant that's apparently impregnated into the tiles, so it'll get kind of greasy if you step on a tile and then on your floor. Also, it is expected to shred up a bit, especially on those stops. So, there will be some tiny plastic shavings as well. I haven't tried them outdoors yet, but I probably won't do it inside again for those reasons. It wasn't a disaster, but I had to vacuum the white shavings and mop the lubricant off the hard floor. A lot of people seem to use in their garages or patios.

Great concept, good product, high price
I’m in Northern California where we don’t get sustained temperatures under 32 degrees. I’m an adult intermediate hockey player and was looking for a skate-able practice surface for stick handling, tight space and shooting practice. This product supports all of that and more. It skates more like pond ice than rink ice but that’s actually good for balance, skating strength, etc. The product assemblies easily and can be taken apart easily as well. I added some 2x4 dasher boards that cost me about $30 and a couple hours of my time - this us essential to keep the puck on the surface. My only criticism of this product is the crazy price that is at least double what it should be in my opinion. Other than price it is a very interesting concept and provides a skate-able surface year round.

Too much friction And felt super super cheap
It sucked. For the price it was awful and damaged my blades, plastic pieces went everywhere, I couldn’t do jumps or spins without getting stuck in plastic bits DONT waste ur money this is such a scam. It didn’t feel like ice at all and i tried wetting it a little and it helped a little bit but not much

Made to create microplastics
Room is covered in tiny plastic shavings everywhere. Does not glide like ice. Overpriced and makes a huge unhealthy mess.

Sell 9 or 12 - why 10?
I didn’t understand the 1 odd tile - 10 gives you an uneven square shape
