This latch IS reversible for an outward opening door.
Have you struggled searching for the latch you want but cant work out if it is reversible? This is the second of these latches i have fitted, both on OUTWARD opening doors. Why it is not advertised as such is a mystery, in fact the information on the packaging specifically says it is not suitable for outward opening doors and you should contact Yale customer services. It arrives set up for an inward opening door, left or right handed. With just a tiny bit of skill in your fingers it can be changed in 2 minutes - outward opening, left or right handed, just like you would with one sold as reversible. Undo the single cross head screw on the back and carefully lift off the plate. A photo inside at this point may be a good idea just in case you need to refer back. Gently unhook one side of the spring, then the other, noting which way up the spring sits. lift the spring out. Lift out the brass coloured latch and the inside frame it is connected to, flip it over and re insert it. Return the spring, screw on the back plate, done! A spot of grease on the moving parts before closing it up would be perfect. Good lock but note the finger hold on the knob affords very little grip to pull the door open/ closed. I fit a small pull handle adjacent.

Solid Lock
I have a Yale electronic lock which I got for my garage door. What I didn't realise at the time - despite the eye watering cost - was that it only came with the part for one side of the door. So, here I am another 30-odd quid lighter of pocket in order to make a fully functioning lock. Hmmm.Anyway, minor cost related gripe aside, Yale have presented a well made solid lock that is most likely stronger than the door it's fitted too. In the end these are a deterrent to opportunists not a determined tea-leaf with skills or a brute force attack. The security level is good enough to deter picking unless an expert is around. Having watched many videos on YouTube made by the Lock Picking Lawyer I'm now quite sure that no commercially available lock to the public at large is good enough to stop an expert from opening it.Finish is top rate and will look as good as a lock can do for as long as it's fitted to the door.Overall, an expensive but well made reasonably secure lock.

Very shallow knob
You have to use your fingers to pinch and pull the knob which is quite hard work.
