Have you struggled searching for the latch you want but cant work out if it is reversible? This is the second of these latches i have fitted, both on OUTWARD opening doors. Why it is not advertised as such is a mystery, in fact the information on the packaging specifically says it is not suitable for outward opening doors and you should contact Yale customer services. It arrives set up for an inward opening door, left or right handed. With just a tiny bit of skill in your fingers it can be changed in 2 minutes - outward opening, left or right handed, just like you would with one sold as reversible. Undo the single cross head screw on the back and carefully lift off the plate. A photo inside at this point may be a good idea just in case you need to refer back. Gently unhook one side of the spring, then the other, noting which way up the spring sits. lift the spring out. Lift out the brass coloured latch and the inside frame it is connected to, flip it over and re insert it. Return the spring, screw on the back plate, done! A spot of grease on the moving parts before closing it up would be perfect. Good lock but note the finger hold on the knob affords very little grip to pull the door open/ closed. I fit a small pull handle adjacent.

Looks good. Has a simplicity about it. The lever to open the door although it looks neat is too small and your fingers slip when you try to open the door towards you.

This replaced a 10 year old generation Yale lock.I was caught out - needs a Z block to connect to WiFi .People able to cope with the turn handle , unlike a pure electronic lock .
