A Must-Have for Dry, Damaged or Transitioning Hair"
As a young woman who has struggled with dry, damaged hair for years, I can confidently say that the SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Hair Mask is a must-have for anyone with similar hair concerns. This deep hair treatment mask is silicone and sulfate-free, which is important to me because I want to avoid harsh chemicals that can further damage my hair. Instead, the mask is made with natural ingredients like shea butter, argan oil, and sea kelp that work together to deeply moisturize and nourish my hair from the inside out. After using this mask just a few times, I noticed a significant difference in the texture and health of my hair. It felt softer, smoother, and more manageable than it had in years, and the split ends that used to plague me were noticeably reduced. The formula is also perfect for anyone who is transitioning from chemically-treated to natural hair, as it helps to strengthen and protect fragile strands. The packaging is also user-friendly, with a wide-mouth jar that makes it easy to scoop out just the right amount of product. The 326 ml size is generous and lasts for several weeks, even with regular use.Overall, I highly recommend the SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Hair Mask to any young woman with dry, damaged, or transitioning hair. It's a game-changer that delivers on its promises, and it's made with natural ingredients that you can feel good about using. Give it a try – your hair will thank you!

SO GOOD!
I have 2c Nordic hair, very thick hair that loves to just collapse and lay flat. I wanted to try getting my waves defined so I got everything needed for the curly girl method, this included. After 3x clarifying shampoo I pressed water out of my hair with my hands, noting that my hair felt completely stripped and prone to tangling. I applied a generous amount of this mask from root to tip, gently detangled and left it on undisturbed for 5 minutes as suggested on the product container. Rinsed out and immediately felt the difference! Smooth and silky but also very light, hair didn't feel stripped anymore. I finished with a conditioner and leave-in from the same brand and my hair has absolutely never looked better. My waves are deep and defined, actually have volume and shine from root to tip, no frizz. I will be buying this mask again when I run out, for sure.

Give it some time!
REVIEW OF THE PRODUCT FURTHER DOWNI read other reviews that say this product may be a counterfeit product. I'm pretty sure I received the original. The reason for this is that I also read reviews on the Shea Moisture website (where it clearly can't be counterfeit) that say things like the formula changed, the ingredient list is different, the consistency varies and it developed mould. This is a natural product people, not every batch will be exactly the same. Plus, the company is owned by Unilever now, so it is highly possible that they changed the formula or the production process. It is common to change minor things that might not have to be enclosed on the packaging but that make a difference in consistency, colour etc. This mask also had a distinct Shea butter scent, that I don't particularly like but it smells like Shea Moisture.REVIEW of the actual mask:I don't actually have damaged hair, just dry hair and I wanted to stay away from protein, read somewhere that this is protein free and blind ordered it. Turns out it has protein in it, that's far down on the ingredients list though, so I was a little bummed but not too worried.I have medium thick wavy hair, low porosity and medium density. I used this mask a couple of times now with varying processes but always after shampooing, with a plastic shower cap and a towel wrapped around this. I distributed it with my fingers and combed through with a wide tooth comb. The first time I did this was a little hard, the comb didn't glide very well and I had a lot of shed hairs, I left the mask on for 30min and honestly I didn't feel like it did much.2. Round. I did the same thing but only left it on for 10min because I didn't have time. I blow dried my head while it was on to apply some heat. Same result as the 1. Time.3. Round. Same process, but this time combing was so much easier! I also left the mask on for 2h this time and wrapped a warm towel around my head to trap the heat. Now THIS is the way to go for me! My hair was super shiny and soft after that. So I really suggest to try this product a few times and with different techniques. Same applies for every product actually. It's always trial and error.

Worked well when my hair was damaged, not so much on my healthy new growth.
When I damaged my 3b/c curly hair by bleaching it I used this mask and remembered having a really good experience with it. So fast forward a couple of years where I've cut all that hair off and taken pretty good care of my natural hair I thought I would grab this again to help with some heat damaged parts and rough ends. However this time around on relatively healthy hair, I didn't find this very moisturising. It's hard to explain, but this particular Shea Moisture deep conditioner doesn't feel like it fully penetrates the hair, rather it just sits on top, but also provides little to no slip for detangling. Not wanting to waste it, I've been using it up by mixing it with the standard conditioner from this line and some other bits and pieces I like (honey and argan oil for example) which personally is my best use for it as it makes a nice thick mixture. I think it does it's job on transitioning, dry hair as advertised, but Shea Moisture has more effective deep conditioners for other hair concerns (my favourite on my new, healthier hair has been the manuka honey line)

To all curly girls
Perfect deep conditioner. First time I used it my curls were thriving! You need to make sure shampoo or cleaners go with it. Not heavy great hydration for a deep condition I used this every 2 weeks for 3a curls! 100% recommend I’ve bought this twice now
