High Quality at a Bargain Price
Nicely machined and anodized spool, matches the one that came on my original Piscifun reel. Drag system works as well as reels at double + the price of these. Purchased the spare Spool so I can quickly change over to using my 5wt rod to my 6wt rod (this reel/spool size works for both) without having to spend double the money on two entire reels. Plan on buying a few more so I can keep lines rigged up various types of fly line - ie. sinking line, floating line, different tapers, etc. Love these Piscifun reels, solid performance and at a great price.

... and one for sinking tip line.
Well made. It's not the quality of my Orvis Battenkill disc, but a fraction of the cost for replacement/spare spool.Easy to do a quick change between floating and sinking tip line. Wasn't familiar with Piscifun reels, but it actually works well and looks quite nice for the price.

Oh my - the fun I have with this reel
Oh my - the fun I have with this reel. This little 3 - weight reel has landed everything from teeny tiny bluegill, to forearm - long largemouth bass, to 3 pound trout. What a blast to hook into these widely varied fish on fairly light tackle...but I'll tell ya, this reel isn;t a lightweight. The drag is just the thing for giving a running rainbow *just the amount of resistance needed to tire them out (without breaking them off). Paired up with a nice 7.5' rod, this thing has given me hours of enjoyment. The spare spool has been loaded up with sinking line, for those times I need it. As expected, it works brilliantly with the original reel.Tight lines - onto the next memory. Thank you!

solid spool, color is a little different to the original
It is a solid spare spool, no complaint, good for the money. The color is a little different from the original spool and frame.

Smooth action. Loved it.
Used it fishing for a river trip. Easy casting and retrieve. Very nice for the price.

Really good deal
Perfect fit and finish. Purchased a different color for quick ID of floating vs. sinking setup. Spool matched up perfect to the frame of a previously purchased reel. Can not beat Piscifun for the price

would like to see the turn distance increase more and be ...
Haven't had it out on the water yet, but I've filled to spools with line, experimented with the drag and done some practice casting. Very impressed with the smoothness of this reel. Drag seems to work well. One small criticism is that the drag doesn't need much travel to go from light to heavy. would like to see the turn distance increase more and be able to have finer drag adjustment. Great value for the money.

Still impressed by quality
Quality for a great price. Still impressed with the quality of Piscifun Sword fly reels and spools. Will by adding a Sword 5/6 reel to my fly fishing arsenal.
