I've never owned a gun, but I sure love these mounting magnets. Amazon is filled with similar steel cup mounting magnets, but this is one of the few coated in grippy rubber! The rubber is AMAZING. Thanks to it, you get a lot more "strength" out of the magnet. Not because it makes the magnet stronger, but because it increases the sheer friction and holding power so that objects stay in place. Also the rubber protects the relatively brittle magnet underneath from being chipped off constantly. (happens with others)Overall, I love these magnets! Wish there were more sizes available. Also I like that the Iron Rhino branding disappears after you've mounted the magnet to the wall.More tips:- Dry wall anchors: I wouldn't recommend them. Screw it into a stud, or in my case, I screwed it into a sturdy wooden shelf I have. Dry wall anchors will probably hold for awhile, but one day you might rip it out.- These are only magnetic on ONE SIDE. This is because the actual neodymium magnet is encased in a steel cup for protection. The steel cup also redirects some of the magnetic field so that the outward facing side is even stronger.- Try to get whatever it is into direct contact with the magnet. Magnetic field strength drops off sharply with distance. If a magnet can hold 50lb when in direct contact, just adding only 1/4" of distance will drop the strength 5-10lbs.

GR8 affordable mags to mount for easy weapon accesss.
Great affordable magnets . We have two sets mounted in the house for easy access to both my TAURUS & BF's heavier weapon when not carry concealed. Easy to mount and as of yet, do not appear to scratch either of our weapons. Recommended.

Worth it
These are the second gun magnets I have ordered. The first were about the size of a quarter, these more like half dollar, and were $20 for 2. These are only $15 for 2 and bigger. They seem to have the same strength as the other and have a good complete all the way around rubber coating. I actually like these better than the other more expensive ones. Only thing is these do not come with mounting screws, other ones did. Granted they were just inch drywall screws so it's not like I was losing a big thing because of it. Drywall screws work great and most people have some laying around. Great product, good quality and great price!

Good value!
I needed a rare watch magnet to find studs in an ancient plaster/lathe wall. These were perfect! I have them holding up kid art on the fridge now that the wall project is finished. Can't get them off lol

Art holders
Super strong magnets. I bought them to hang a large metal piece of art on my wall as I didn’t want exposed fasteners or having to drill through the metal. These two magnets easily hold the metal art on the wall. No screws came with it but I had several that would work already. They’re about 1/4” thick and hold the art off the wall enough for a nice shadow line plus it keeps the art from scuffing the wall. Extremely pleased with this purchase.

Don’t put on fridge! Lol Bigger than a quarter.
These magnets are no joke! Priced right and very strong. Put one the fridge to test it out, wrong! Had to slide it off the side because I could not pull it off. Luckily it had the rubber lining or I would have scratched my fridge. Excellent for holding firearms in place and one could hold an AR15 pretty solid. Low profile with rubber protection, don’t look anywhere else, you won’t be disappointed.
