Buy the Spiral Bound version!
Checked this book out from the library and I loved it so much I bought it. I wanted the spiral bound version so it would stay open and be easy to flip through. I had coincidentally just bought a vitamix blender and the servings are perfect for every smoothie and the vitamix can tear up just about any ingredient you throw in there. It makes it easy to make different types so all your smoothies and juices don’t taste the same. I’ve made an açaí smoothie with cauliflower, a version of V8 juice, “zucchini colada,” and so much more. This will up your drink game and make it sooo much more flavorful.

A wonderful non-alcohol drink option
Though many of us enjoy alcohol beverages, it is nice and prudent to offer equal quality non-alcohol beverages to our guests. This has long been an anticipated text fulfilling a crucial niche for those hosting guests not only in our homes but for those dining out who may be designated drivers. I can only claim this as wonderful and necessary addition to my culinary library.

Wish it included weights of ingredients
Updated 6/23/24: One other issue I forgot to mention is that the ingredients listed in this book are backwards from what Vitamix recommends for smoothie recipes - namely, Vitamix says to put liquids in first, frozen ingredients last, but this book has you do the opposite. I have no idea why, and the one time I tried adding them in the order listed in this book, my blender (Vitamix 5200) couldn't create a vortex at all. As for the recipes, the one huge "miss" for me making smoothies out of this has been the rose velvet smoothie. It was absolutely horrible and tasted only of beets. Even after I added a handful of raspberries, some dragonfruit, and more maple syrup, nothing cut through that taste of beets. I used cooked beets per the instructions.I've made a couple of recipes from the smoothies section of the book and appreciate how creative they are. I was looking for something different than my usual green smoothie.I've enjoyed the recipes so far, but my main issue with this book is that the ingredients measurements are mostly by volume (or even by the count of vegetables/fruits) rather than volume + weight. This is a problem when I've bought a bag of frozen fruit or have prepped ingredients ahead of time and don't know how much frozen bell pepper is equal to 1 bell pepper. Or, in the case of my dragonfruit, the stuff I have comes mashed up already and I have no idea how much of that is equal to 1 cup. While the weight of "1 bell pepper" might not always be exactly the same, having weight measurements would be helpful if I don't have "1 bell pepper" but rather a bag of frozen bell pepper slices. I have seen other smoothie recipes include weights and wish this book did as well.Otherwise, I am happy with my purchase and am making note of weights where I can, once I've measured what the recipe calls for.

New recipes
Not the usual rehash of recipes and very helpful for teas and making beverages. The variety of teas is wonderful and the kombucha section is so well done I plan on trying to make my own and save some money. .

Not sure these are "healthy"
Most of these recipes have a lot of sugar - whether added or from fruits. Other than that, drinks I have tried have been tasty, just not what I would consider healthy. Could use them as an alternative to soda, but you would not be reducing calories or even sugar (altho would reduce intake of corn syrup or in some cases "added" sugars).

missing ingredients in recipes
There are multiple recipes in the Juicer section that have missing ingredients in the recipe. I hope the publisher will fix this. Otherwise it looks good. If they fix the book, I’ll upgrade my review.
