Simulator rather than arcade
Everyone has their opinions, and this is mine. I seem to be in the minority here but i love this game. I haven't owned a wwe game since one of the ps2 titles years ago (which i loved) so cant compare this game to any of the newer gen wrestling games. But jumping back into it, i slowly remembered why i loved it. Controls at first i found hard to figure out, but once i did it all felt comfortable and easy to use with the likes of striking, grappling and throwing your oponents towards the ropes. Roster wise, i cant tell you if its a good roster or not as i haven't religously watched wrestling since the early 2000's. The graphics are beautiful and gameplay is good. Sometimes there is the odd mishap where you bith run towards eacho ther intending to hit each other and you bounce off each other, but that can be overlooked if you're not too fussy. One massive criticism i have seen a lot in these reviews is that a lot of people dont like the new stamina and that wrestlers get too tired for a long frantic fight to happen. I personaly think this is a fantastic touch as it adds realism and makes it more of a simulator rather than giving it an arcady feel. One of the main reasons i bought this game was for the my career mode. As a big fan of the NBA 2K14 and 2k15 career modes i was expecting big things. I am only a few matches into it so far but can tell i will love it. First of all, when you create your superstar, the amount of editing you can do is ridiculous. You can customize them in literally anyway you want and put your own slogans on their t shirts etc. Once you start, the plan is for you to work your way up to become the champion via all the shows e.g. nxt, superstars, main event and then smackdown or raw. I havent played any other modes yet other than single player and career so sorry if you came here for reviews on them. But i hope i have helped and as i said im in the small minority it seems like, but i think this is a really good game and I'd recommend it.

Great game!!
Although the roster may not be as good as last years roster this game is still an amazing game to play. For starters the my career section is absolutely awesome with that it gives you the chance to experience what the career of a wwe superstar might be like. Next is the gameplay in that instead of it being overly arcade based it has now become a true simulator which is a challenge but a joy at the same time to play. If you're even thinking about getting this game just go for it because you won't regret it once you get seriously involved.

Better than most make it out to be
Since WWE 2k15 was released for Playstation 4 and XBox One, opinions of the game have been rather decisive with most praising the design and graphics while critizing the absence of many game modes such as Create a Story and Creating a Diva while Create a Superstar has been limited to 25 slots. The limited number of superstars compared to the previous few games has also spared some criticism, however it hasn't really bothered me as the superstars would likely would have been included would be lower card stars. While some of the gameplay is a little tacky, WWE 2k15 I still an entertaining game where you have replay many famous rivalries in Showcase mode including John Cena vs. CM Punk and HHH vs. Shawn Michaels.

Hit and miss.
So much potential, so much promise yet, so far away. Even for a huge wrestling fan like me, this is slightly annoying to play sometimes. The wrestling action is decent enough, yet simplistic and has an over emphasis on reversals. If you reverse a lot, you'll win the match, it's that simple. My career mode is another mode which hasn't delivered much. The 'endless' possibilities thing is false, it throws maybe 3 or 4 different choices through your entire career which simply isn't enough. ShowCase mode is another mode which can be fun, but is often padded out with pointless matches with annoying objectives which just take all the fun out of it. The graphics aren't even that good. It's just a fairly passable wrestling game which wastes a few hours when you play it. Not the next-gen experience we expected

New generation of WWE Gaming
We all have our opinions, but mine's is positive. WWE 2K15 is here, and available on the new generation consoles. Pre-ordered this in August. The wait has been worth it. The graphics are brilliant, and has a great selection of playable Superstars like John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, including selections of Divas like AJ Lee, Natalya, The Bella Twins, The Funkadactyl girls, Summer Rae, and even more happy to finally see Tamina Snuka in her video game debut despite the fact she's been part of the company since 2010 when she was with her cousins, The Usos. I'm enjoying the 2K Showcase and the MyCareer Mode looks fun. I'll do my usual and wait to play the WWE Universe mode until all things are unlocked and all characters from DLC are downloaded.

A step back from W2K14
I have never been so dissapointed in a game in years. I really liked 2k14 on my PS3 and was hoping that this new version would take everything that was good about 2k14 and improve upon it for next gen. Somehow 2K games managed to take a MASSIVE step backwards. Lots of features have been removed and the roster (as mentioned in other reviews) is tiny. The gameplay is slow and very sluggish which makes timing of moves very hit and miss. The gameplay also feels very scripted (in one match against Ryback every single move I attempted was countered which ultimately led to my defeat). It also seems that in this version of the game there are fewer "grapple moves" that can be performed compared to previous versions of the game. With regards to create a wrestler I found the whole experience very frustrating, and not like previous games (some people may find the options more to their liking but not me) and when taking my created wrestler into career mode the game decided it wanted to change all of the moves I previously assigned to it in the create a wrestler mode (again very frustrating). On the plus side the graphics are very nice but that is the only poistive I can give about this game. If 2K release W2K16 I would have to take a very serious look at the game prior to purchase. I short I can't recommend this game at all which is a shame as I was really looking forward to this title and really wanted to like it.

Fun WWE game on PS4
My son who loves this game, he prefers it both W2K16 and W2K17 which he has both of. Its currently retailing quite low so if you want to dip into WWE on the PS4 but don't want to pay a lot, its an excellent choice as its very fun. Lots of characters you can unlock as you advance through the game, or you can buy an unlock from Sony from the PlayStation Store.
