A perfect addition to my mesh bag for a fountain pump.

More dense than the mesh I was currently using, easy to cut to size and work good, will buy again.

Unlike another product I bought for aquarium filter sponge, this one was much more cost efficient than the other because of its enormous expansion. Dollar for dollar this product actually gives you more than most other filter sponge you will find . And it appears to be approximately the same density as the one I'm replacing. I expect it to perform just as well and will update if it doesn't. Another good feature was the fact that you are provided with a sheet of sponge that is large enough for you to be able to cut it to fit your needs. I will be buying it again in the future

Easily cut to fit my filter unit, works well..

Good consistency, even pores, good durability.I use it on top of under gravel filters, in HOB filters and for sculpting seascapes in my aquariums. Turns the entire unit into a biofilter. Easy to vacuum up larger pieces too. Stacking random pieces to form underwater valleys that I fill with glass beads.Also use it for substrate for Grindal worms cultures for fish food - much much cleaner than dirt, easy to maintain.Soak it in the sink in hot water for a bit, rinse with aquarium water, squeeze out the excess then hang it up to dry to get a smooth piece, ready to use as you wish.One star knocked off for short or narrow pieces I occasionally get and the price per square foot is getting a bit out of hand. Multiple piece combinations should be available too or at least, bulk pricing.
