Well deigned and well made
I use it to hold a Victor M144 Instant Power-Kill Easy Set Reusable Rat Trap. This Victor M901RB was created with the M144 in mind. You can bait and set the M144 while it is safely in this Bait Station.

Poor Condition
Received this without any packaging like in picture. Just the trap in a plastic bag. The key was locked inside the box. When I was able to get the lock opened with a screwdriver, found no pegs to put the bait on. Obviously this was returned and repackaged. Not acceptable.

Works as described
We live in a rural area surrounded by agricultural fields and the mice are relentless. I bought these to supplement the poison traps we have inside the house as another layer of defense. They are very well built, and work as described. They hold enough bait to last for an extended period. They are lockable and keep pets out. So far, they are working exactly as described and should last for several years.

Great...if you are into murdering innocent squirrels.
I don't want to kill any animal. I empathize and understand they are just trying to survive, like the rest of us. Unfortunately, we have a rat problem. When my family and pets are at risk, I had no choice but to kill the rats. The city rats were too smart for rat traps. After having minimal success with traps, I bought good (poison) bait. In accordance with the manufacturer's claims, I bought these bait stations so that only rats, mice, voles, and moles would be in danger. On day 2 I find a full-size squirrel in one of the bait boxes. I then have to watch the poor thing get very sick and die. I love squirrels, so it infuriated me. The bait-box description literally says it's design keeps squirrels out. I'll never trust Victor products again. If you bought these boxes, cover the holes in the day and open them at night. Squirrels are active in the day. Rats and mice are more active at night. I would have done this from the start, had the manufacturer not claimed these to be squirrel-proof.
