Excellent little coop
Excellent little coop, my 7 ladies love it. Very cosy for them. Only issue is my girls are a lot bigger than we originally thought so had to take out the nest box dividers as they made the boxes too small for the girls to lay in, and they kept knocking them over. Very glad there's a door as well as a pop hole as, again, my ladies are too big to fit through the pop hole haha

I bought this coop and for the money I really like it. Yes it has a few flaws but I built my own previously for recycled materials and it cost me half the price in fixtures and fittings. The flaws......1. The drop panel side has a large gap around it allowing wind and weather in, and could have done with 2 locks rather than the 1 fitted in one corner. I simply bought 2 matching locks to replace the single one and secured a baton internally along the top and fited some P profile draught exclusion tape to stop weather getting in and stop the rattling door when windy. Cost of improvement £22. The nest box has a similar gap above its hinges. I used an old door draught excluder (bristle type for bottom of a house door) cut down to fit the inside between the batons. Job done cost nothing but most DIY stores sell these few around afew quid.3. The treated timber. I strongly recommend that before you build this coop give it 2 coats of treatment (external sides only). If you have other garden buildings ie sheds etc you probably have treatment left from painting them so use it. I used ronseal 1 coat for rough sawn sheds / fences and even though this coop is pre treated , it sucked in two coats no problem & the seller does recommend you do this anyway. I used just over 1 litre but to be fair , like any wooden structure it will need preserving during its life so be realistic.4. When constructing this make sure you have some liquid nails. The tongue & groove panelfor the nest box leaves holes where the box attaches to the side panel. Using liquid nails here fills the groove gaps stopping parrasites getting in like red mites. It also adds strength as well as sealing your coop from the elements. Not huge problem, but time and care spent now will save you hassle in the run and money. In addition to the above, I personally recommend felting the roof. Whilst treated as is and water tight , I felted mine as you would ashed to pro-long its life. I've seen people grumble that it isn't felted or come with roof felt but seriously what do these folk want for £60 ?I love mine , despite having to pay for a few "improvements" to satisfy myself, all in all I have no complaints at all for what this cost even the delivery fee (£20) as mine arrived within 24 hrs of order confirmation. The girls are very happy and this coop is bigger inside than you would think

Easy to put together, as it is sold, good size, everything fits into place.

Poor quality
I am very disappointed with this coop, it is not value for money. it is flimsy thin wood, it lets the rain in, the flooring/sliding draw is not strong and bends with any weight put on it, and does not come out easily, especially after rain. It is advertised to take up to 6 large chickens, well my chickens won’t be able to get through the front door hatch it’s so small, so having to use the back. The perches are not thick enough for large chickens either. I would have sent this coop back if I could, but moving house and no time to order another, so having to make the best of it. I would say it’s not fox proof, the wood is so thin and the latches hold the nesting boxes were rusted and don’t work. So I would not recommend this coop for any sized chicken as not secure!

Not great
Product is made of cheap wood and the roof doesn’t open. It’s extremely hard to clean and you would never be able to treat properly for red mite as you can’t access it properly. Not had it a month and we’re replacing it. Very disappointing

I am now in the process of painting it and assembling it which i have to say is rather easy. it is looking amazing i will post pics soon
