Wow, this is actually really good for a kids kit.My 9 year old loves it and we made a pillar candle and 2 stacking candles in multicolours. They look so good.The kit comes with enough to make probably 20 candles. it also comes with 4 colours to you melt into the candle to make them the different colours. These just looked like crayons so the girls got their crayons out and we used them so we could make them in pinks and turquoise to match their rooms. (they arent allowed to light them in their room, just for decoration). The instructions were really clear and very easy for my 9 year old to follow. Adult help is needed as you need to heat up wax but i had fun too.Just heat up wax in a saucepan, thats placed inside another saucepan fill of water (same as if you were heating chocolate), add some colour and pour into the moulds. Wait for it to set and ta-dah a lovely diy candle and 2 very proud little girls!

My nine year old son loved this kit. We've had some wonderful quality time together creating candles. With careful supervision, lovely candles can be easily created. There's a good variety of candles to create so the interest is maintained. He wants to order more materials to keep on making. He has learned so much about measurements and weight. A great gift idea.

I bought this for my friend but she is a 52 year old artist and thought it was a bit silly. However shei is making the sbest of a bad deal and will repaint these to look like the members of KISS. It is a nice kit though, I thought.

My daughter loves "Russian dolls" and when I saw this kit, it was a no brainer purchase. What a great idea as I know many little girls love these. While, for the money, it was overall good quality there were some elements that niggled. It only came with one paint brush and one of the paints was off - only half filled and so watery it was unmixable/unuseable which was a downer.Also, 3 of the inner dolls were very difficult to take apart while the largest doll fell apart when it was lifted so the factory machinery needs adjusting/checking when the wood is cut.It's also quite intricate painting in parts and the brush supplied is too cheap to reach some of the smaller areas without painting over lines, etc.... It's also a bit challenging for kids under 6/7 I would think.My daughter is happy with it though and we enjoyed painting it together so for that reason alone, I recommend would it.

My 6 year old daughter loves this and has made some beautiful soaps with very little adult help needed. You get a variety of lovely moulds, perfume and colours and the results are really good. Very easy to use and great fun. Would definitely recommend.

Nice quality but the colours of the paints a little drab - lucky we had other paints from other craft sets which gave more choice. Very enjoyable afternoon painting and sticking on the faces - you will need more varnish though 1 pot doesn't do all 5 dolls. Overall great gift idea or rainy day project for little girls my Niece was 8 and loved it.

This kit was perfect for my nieces who stayed for a few days over Christmas, we had an excellent time playing soap makers. The kit is easy to use and produced some lovely little soaps. Brilliant !

Purchased for my 5 year old daughter. She loved doing this. The only downer was waiting for them to dry. They can be a little still to open but a flat headed screw driver just eases them open. Easy to paint. But stick the faces before garnishing. Everything you need in the box.
