Hand Bulb Ear Syringes 60 ml

Wish i had one of these years ago. I have suffered ear wax all my life & had my ears syringed many times. This simple devise will clear your ears of wax safely. Only use after showering as your ear wax will be softer then. I now use once a month to keep my ears clear of wax. Use over a sink of warm water, squeeze to expel the air & hold under the water, allowing the bulb to fill. Face down over the sink, place the jet end, half way into your ear. DO NOT go deep, anywhere near your eardrum, this is common sense. A good squeeze of the bulb, with the water fired into the side wall of your ear, will see the water gushing around your inner ear, coming out into your sink, wax included. I do this 3 or 4 times in each ear. Simple, but use with care. If in doubt, consult your GP.

The product arrived in a clear plastic bag with no instructions, that is why only 4 stars. I googled how to use a bulb ear syringe prior to using it. I also used earol twice daily for 3 days before using. I had lost my hearing in my left ear so knew lots of wax was inside my ear. I also wear bilateral hearing aids so know I will be prone to wax build up. I had to use approximately 3 litres of warm water per ear and used a firm but gentle pressure as worried about damaging ear drum. To my amazement at first from each ear only tiny mm yellow bits came out then...... A very large dark plug of wax fell into the sink! I was amazed, but more amazed when the same happened to the right ear as I felt no hearing issues. It was a pain free and more comfortable experience than I have had when having them professionally syringes - but longer in time and effort. I had my ears checked by the practice nurse 5 days later - the right ear was clear but there was some soft pale wax in the left which she syringed. All in all very handy to have the bulb syringe in case of emergencies and you have a long wait for nhs treatment. But use with care.

The advert clearly states Syringes (plural) and shows 2 in the accompanying picture. Was therefore surprised to receive only one. I queried this but just received an apology re any confusion. This issue needs to be rectified.

I think the prospect of using a bulb syringe like this for flushing out ears without some sort of medical training would be extremely silly - and it's not what I use it for.If you are a fountain pen user and one who enjoys using and experimenting with a wide variety of inks, this bulb syringe will come in very handy for cleaning out your pens.Made of semi-soft rubber and being quite pliable, it is perfect for fitting into the cartridge converter opening and flushing through the nib and feed very quickly. As used and recommended by the likes of Brian Goulet of the Goulet Pen Company and SBRE Brown (both knowledgeable FP guys on YouTube), this type of bulb syringe is a very handy addition to your FP kit.I've used this model for a few months now. It can hold a decent amount of water, does not leak when held nozzle down and I've yet to find pen it doesn't fit (although my collection is relatively modest)

Absolutely a waste of money and time. Bought 2 of these at the same time just in case something went wrong with the first one. Used the first one 4 times and then the seal around the bulb failed resulting in no pressure at all in the bulb and water just pouring out of the bulb. Tried the second one today and filled it once. Same thing happened. The seal broke. I didn’t feel the bulb gave sufficient pressure to remove the wax anyway. My husband had been putting drops in for weeks and it still didn’t shift the wax. I am a qualified nurse with years of experience of syringing ears before updated equipment to remove ear wax became available within the NHS so I know what I am talking about. Obviously when covid-19 is beaten my husband can go back to having his ear wax removed ‘professionally ‘.

This worked fine at first but as it's an item you might only use infrequently it does spend most of the time in the bathroom cupboard .I am guessing that the quality of " Rubber? " it's made from has deteriorated with time as it split across its seam when squeezed, making it only fit for the bin. I'll probably try one of the syringe types instead.

Tried this once. It works great. If you are gentle and use boiled water cooled to nice warm temperature and squirt cautiously so you don't cause any damage it should be OK but you have to make your own decision taking into account your own medical history. There are no instructions.I always find it a nuisance to take blocked ears to the doctor's surgery. I find that doctors have to look at your ear to examine wax deposits but a nurse has to syringe them. They usually send you away to put drops in your ears (even when you know the score and have already been doing so). So you end up going back several times.Common sense seems to say that you squirt your own ears as you can tell instantly if it is hurting or whatever. I wouldn't attempt to squirt anyone else's ears.The reason I only got to use it once is no reflection on how good it is. My grown-up stepson was visiting, he has problems with ear-wax and tried it. As it was Christmas I let him keep it. I decided to buy another but one which comes apart in the middle for cleaning. I have not tried this one yet.
