Yesterday this was used for the first time during styling on wash day on my VERY tender headed 6 year old. Hair days are rough because she has the most beautiful thick curls. After washing and conditioning, I sectioned her damp hair and finger combed her curls with this before taking a wet brush to each section and this stuff is amazing. There were a few knots that I massaged a pea sized amount on and the knots came out pretty immediately with minimal effort. We will be using this forever! Photos for hair type reference.

This is the best detangler I have ever used on my 4C hair! He glides on and softens the hair. Then it makes the comb easily go through the hair making it manageable. I wish that I had found this sooner but it's best to have it no matter when you get it!

I've used the product before and it's an awesome product. However, the bottles need to be better sealed to reduce spillage in shipping.

It's usually very difficult to detangle my hair especially after having braids in for over a couple of months, this definitely does the trick not only did it detangle my hair it left it soft and has a really good scent. Works great on curly thick hair will definitely purchase again.

I've been using this for 3 years and it has done me so well with detangling (I have 3C/4A hair). I use it with damp hair and really lather it in, but it doesn't leave my scalp feeling gunky or itchy. It has a nice smell but can be a little overwhelming if you're sensitive to smells; after it dries the smell is gone. This product doesn't really help with curl definition or frizz reduction but that's not what I use it for. The picture is what my wet hair looked like after detangling.

It definitely HELPS detangle knotted hair. BUT, IF you have really sensitive skin like me, be CERTAIN NOT TO leave on your skin too long! This is also true of ALMOST MOST cleaning or conditioning products. I hesitate to sound as though I am complaining at all. Because in some circumstances, this Stuff IS a Life Saver/ Hair Saver! But, just remember, if you are having to slowly, painstakingly, gently pick through horribly knotted hair, you should try to cover your neck, shoulders, etc, w/1, or 2 thick towels, limit the time you allow it to sit on your skin, and if possible, try to wear gloves of some sort, or ask someone to help you, to limit the exposure to your arms, & hands. And, be prepared to have some at least generic type of Allergy Medication on hand. It does smell GOOD, like fruit, etc, NOT chemicals, or anything unappealing. My Family just has EXTREMELY sensitive skin. & because of that, we also can’t allow Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Pumpkin, Lemon, Orange, all Citrus’s, or any other types of highly acidic juices, or fluids, to remain on our skin for very long at all, w/o breaking out into raised itchy hives. We can consume them in normal portions w/o issues. But, the skin is an entirely different Organ & Story, compared to the Digestive Organs. Otherwise, I highly recommend this Product for knots & tangles, especially extremely bad ones. And it is true, sometimes it can be better to apply it to dry hair. I think it depends on how thick, strong, general texture, of the shafts of your hair. I recommend being extremely patient, expect some trial & error. If it seems to work best for you on wet hair, then do whatever works best for you, just remember not to let it sit on you for hours and hours. And, a word of advice, IF you can afford to lose a half inch, inch, 2 inches, go ahead do yourself an enormous favor, it will most likely grow back in no time. If you can trim at least a small amount of the tangle out, it will make the process of detangling it SOOO much easier and less stressful. Believe me, I don’t like loosing length off of my hair either. But sometimes, if it’s not more than a couple of inches? And it’s really badly tangled? You will probably still need this detangler anyway? Go ahead and save you, & or whomever you are trying to help get detangled, a whole lot of unnecessary stress, IF it’s just a couple of inches that will grow back quickly anyway. I would still use this Product if I needed detangler again! Remember to stay calm, it isn’t food, shelter, good health, but hopefully hair that will grow right back! It isn’t worth coming to blows over. Good Luck!
