Great Product
I waited a while to review this. I've had a few before that either came with the welder or I bought in Halfrauds. They all broke. This one is so much better! Very similar look and feel but clearly better quality. The valve is just excellent for getting the gas feed right. I'm sure as others have said this saves loads of gas as you're not just wide open blindly pumping gas. Follow instructions and it'll serve you well.

Well made, works well
This gauge can be used to read contents and flow instead of using two gauges on a much more expensive piece of kit. After years of just using the tap as supplied originally with my MIG I now can see what's going on and make much more economic use of my gas yet retain weld quality. Great!

works but control is not very good
It fits the cylinder very well and the push fit connector is convenient and effective. This regulator doesn't really have any level of fine control over the flow so it's ok for applications where you're not too bothered about how much flow you have (welding) but less good if you need more metered control over the flow (CO2 injection in a planted aquarium). This is fine for getting the gas out in a mostly controlled manner but you'll need something else in addition for finer levels of flow control.

Mostly good quality. Just bad design
At first this looks good... connect it to the bottle. All seems solid and it is..... however....I couldn't get more than a puff of gas to go to my welder then all would stop.At first I thought it was a problem with the welder, after all what could be wrong with this? But the welder works fine with a normal air supply. So I dismantled the valve, all internals seem to be ok.The problem seems to be screwing the regulator onto a bottle. Screw it down "tight" and no flow from the bottle into the regulator. Screw it "loosely" and you will get a flow through the regulator but also out around the fitting to the bottle. It seems that the seal inside the regulator for the bottle sits over the holes that allow gas into the regulator means that when it's on tight the seal stops the flow of gas.I don't know if this is a defect or poor design or both.Unfortunately I'm outside the 30 day return period so can't send it back.

Sealey mig gas regulator fix
Don’t do a lot of welding so decided the disposable gas bottles was satisfactory and bought the Sealey regulator based on the brand without reading reviews.Of course like quite a few others the regulator did not work, no pressure showing on the gauge or just a little and then depleted after on pull of weld trigger. Then I read the reviews and discovered other had this problem, so I was going to return the regulator. Upon inspection I saw the seal was almost covering the hole below it and no doubt when tightened the hole was completely sealed when the seal compressed. I had not over tightened, only until the gas stopped leaking and a little bit more. Sealeys unhelpful instructions are to tighten with a spanner (definitely not required) but not to over tighten. When the small amount of gas did show on the gauge I think this came through as I was screwing the regulator on and when slightly tightened the seal covered the holes.Decided to take a chance and remove little bit off the hole in the sealing ring with a scalpel in 2 places to allow the gas to get through when tightened up. Was not easy but did it with the seal in situ, it may be easier if the seal was taken out but did not try that as it seems to be well into a groove. This fixed the problem and am now cooking on gas. Over time the seal may flatten more and cover the hole and I may have to do the fix again.Hope this helps others who have the same problem. Have only rated the regulator as a 3, although it works, Sealey should be able to provide a product that works 1st time without requiring a repair which I have no doubt will make any warranty invalid.

Straightforward.
Simple to use once you know which additional fittings you require depending on your welder. Great item, great seller.
