Presa 31003 Beam Style Torque Wrench, 3/8-Inch

Well built and works as it should.

Got this beam type torque wrench to work on my new road bike which needs precise torques when adjusting and tightening seat post, handle bars, etc. so to not damage the carbon fiber components. I’ve got click types in my garage and love using them but supposedly click types do get out of calibration. So for my bike, it’s back to basics time.Overall this is a great tool. Easy to use and no guessing – I can read the torque reading clearly as I tighten, and it feels great to be able to see when I am reaching the desired torque vs waiting for the click. The torque wrench feels solid and well made. It is also very reasonably priced. Thumbs up all around. If you need a beam type, I highly recommend getting this one.

A bit hard to use if you compare with a standard torque wrench but did the job. Also it is a bit hard to tell if its accurate based on the way you use the torque.

I like it, worked well for spark plugs and valve cover bolts. Did come with a blemish in the chrome on one bar so I'm taking away a star.

Be aware that the add for this product contains words that might imply that it is calibrated for 0-800 in-lbs. and yet the product is actually calibrated 0-80 ft-lbs. Someone needs to proof read the add. The main description of the product as copied from Amazon's web page: "Presa 3/8-inch Drive Beam Style Torque Wrench Precision Instrument, 0-800 inch-Pounds" It is actually a 0-80 ft-lb torque wrench. Or at least that is what I received.
