This Blind Works Great When Paired With Something Else (Not The Best As A Standalone)
The media could not be loaded. I’ve given this 5 stars as it did exactly what I wanted it to. I had no intentions of using it as a standalone. Please see my explanations below.Using as standalone: this shade says “blackout”. My interpretation for anything that’s deemed of “blackout” status, is non-translucent and basically unable to see through. This shade is translucent and very sheer but it’s dark. However, if you’re needing this as a temporary budget friendly standalone shade to provide a somewhat block of the sun and ability of others to see inside, this is good. If your pockets are tight and you’re short on time, this will be useful for as long as you need it to be as the adhesive is very strong and those other components that come with it aren’t necessary to use.Using as a support with other components: my kids room has a huge window that faces the direct path of the sunrise. It’s beautiful and allows for minimal use of electricity. Accept that as soon as my kids see an ounce of light, they get right up (no matter the time) or it’s hard for them to fall asleep. I initially went the cheap route with attempting to “blackout” my kids room. So, I bought the blackout curtains. This only dimmed the room (but better than blinds alone). Then I added some cheap white blinds. This dimmed a little darker but still not as dark as I needed. So, I found these “blackout paper shades” then realized that if I used them as a first layer of the window, it wouldn’t be aesthetically pleasing when looking at the window from the outside since the rest of the windows in the house have white blinds. Therefore, I bought white paper shades to place in front of the black paper shades and the results are EXACTLY what I’d hoped for. Their room is the darkest in the house and I plan to do the other bedrooms the same.Yes, that was a lot of steps. However, I didn’t want to get rid of everything I’d invested in already on that window and feel like I’ve just wasted money. So, I kept it all and love it.Looking back, I should have just opted for something more expensive that would have been a one stop shop for the blackout effect. It’s trues what they said, it’s expensive to be cheap/broke as I feel being cheap caused me to spend more money. So, that’s a lesson learned. But I’m ultimately pleased with the outcome. EXCELLENT!
Excelente "rice paper" blind for the house :)))A natural alternative instead of those awful plastic ones that break in no time.I got 4 so far and covered all the relevant windows. I cut the exact sizes.Easy to install with the adhesive and soften the look in my off white walls. With this and ac here in Florida it is good enough.

Very happy with this shade!
Very happy with this shade. It doesn't feel or look like paper, more like cloth. It's not as dark as I would have liked, but it really blocks the heat from the window where my computer desks sits. I would recommend this item; I've already ordered another one to cut in half for the 2 small side windows.

Window blinds
I was very pleased with my purchase.

They are not blackout curtains
there were no directions about how to install, it was terrible. They are not black out. You would have to put two on each window to get it dark enough "blackout". Would not recommend these at all.

Most certainly NOT blackout
They do NOT blackout the light like described. Light goes right through them. I also prefer the paper ones vs these fabric. The paper ones are easier when wanting to reset preferred height. Other than that they are nice and look good.
