It's simply amazing to me how 70 years of living takes its toll on a pair of knees. I ordered the five-fold Tommars kneeling pad, which is actually six sections of dense foam, each 20mm deep (~7/8") and ~15-1/2" wide. The center of each section is red, with a textured black on the top and bottom. The kneeling pads arrive shrink-wrapped and are simple to use.They can be spread out one layer thick, or folded into pairs or three sections, for example. With multiple combinations available, you can place the pads on flat or uneven surfaces. The textured surfaces keep them in place without sliding around. They are easy to wash off and dry quickly. I have used them to get on my knees to scrub the bath tub and to spot clean the floor. They have really come in handy out in the garden, when kneeling to dig up weeds or for planting.Should you so desire, you can cut them at the folds and use them singly or in pairs without the folds. They are very dense but have enough "give" to make them comfortable to lean on for quite some time and have been a godsend to this old man. My only gripe is that they have a carrying handle in one end which is useless for the multi-fold variant because they simply unfold. Perhaps a large elastic band wrapped around the set would make carrying them folded practical. I can recommend these kneeling pads as a useful product around the house for folks with bad knees or who spend a lot of time kneeling in the garden or around the house and award them 4 stars.

I have bare concrete floors in my house. They weren’t always bare though…this house had MAJOR problems when I got it. The previous owner was an elderly man who should not have been living alone. What little flooring remained had to be ripped out. Parts that had tile….well, only the glue remained. We also had to rip out large sections of the walls…replace the entire kitchen and bathroom… It has been a LOT of work. 2 years later, I’m still slowly working on scraping the crap off the floor in sections. Now that I have this, work is a LOT faster and significantly more comfortable.I have made more progress in the month(ish) since I got this than I have in the last year.

This is an amazing "tool" that I didn't know I needed. I like this so much that I may want another to keep one in the car and one in the garage. This has the obvious functional uses of being a pad that goes between you and the ground. Whether you're awkwardly under the kitchen sink or under your car, this it worth being in your tool box. What was unexpected is that its so sturdy, that it can be a seat or a makeshift step stool when folded. I'm around 200 lbs and it was able support me standing or sitting on the fully folded mat.The size of this is also great for its intended use. I am 5'10", broad shoulders, and it accommodates me well fully unfolded. The dimensions are smaller than a yoga mat, but its sufficient. The compact size is actually quite helpful for when you're in a small space and having the different configurations are nice too. The handle quite nice as well, even when initially I thought it wouldn't be useful. You're definitely not laying this out to take a nap on, but any mechanic who has had to take a break from bring in an odd position knows something like this could have help get the task done faster and more comfortably.If you do any sort of work that requires being in awkward spaces or extended time on your knees or back, this is a solid pick up. 5 stars, way better than other work mats I've used. Save your knees and your back!
