Introducing Enclosure for Ring DIN Rail Transformer (2nd Gen) and Ring DIN Rail Transformer (1st Gen)

I was originally put off by the price as this is in effect just a plastic cover, however the BG one I had looked odd and I did not regret at all stepping up and buying this one. Incredible cover, easy to add on and looks perfect!

I have installed a few of these, they are great when the transformer is on show in the hall, when replacing an existing mains doorbell. Prior to these being available you had to either have an ugly box on the wall or at least a deep white pattress box with a blank plate on the front & then the transformer wasn’t easy to secure.These Ring din rail transformer enclosures look great & do the job brilliantly. The transformer is mounted sideways so they don’t protrude from the wall too far & with the curved edges it looks professional. They are also good value for money compared to what you would spend on an ugly box & the time taken to make it work, also this is similar size to other doorbells so there shouldn’t be any making good to do. You might have to drill another hole in the back to suit the existing cable location.If the existing doorbell mains wiring goes straight back to the consumer unit or in a cupboard, you could use a cheap ugly din rail enclosure or even have the transformer installed inside the consumer unit if there is room. However in a lot of modern UK homes, the doorbell power supply is spurred off the lighting circuit, so has to be on show.On a side note, Ring only sell a din rail transformer with DC output, most of their modern doorbells require an AC transformer, so theirs is not suitable. I generally use the BG CUB1, which works well & is good value too. Double check what transformer your doorbell needs before ordering it, although this Ring din rail enclosure is suitable for all 2 module din rail transformers - AC or DC.

This lightweight white box is absolutely handy if you would like to mount The din rail part of the ring transformer instead of using the consumer unit in your house very sturdy many options for entry tad on the expensive side for just a box with the word ring stamped on it at £16 ish would be better if they combined it both together at a set price overall, very happy still. Will definitely buy another for my other property

Like most other reviews has pointed out. A bit cheap and delicate but does the job and looks good.

Fitted easily in place of my old bell transformer.Fitted a BG Cub 1 transformer and now Ring doorbell is always charged.

My fuse box is too far way from our front door, to mount a DIN Rail transformer - of course, the fact that it's full would also be a challenge. This handy enclosure is the perfect companion to the Ring DIN Rail Transformer, providing an attractive housing which is easy on the eye and not too obtrusive.

I needed to hide my ugly transformer for my UniFi Doorbell, I decided to give the RING transformer enclosure a try and it works great. Only negative is that it could be a little smaller but much better and safer than exposed wires. Build quality is good and easy to trim plastic for cable access.

The ring din rail case is a must if wanting to cover your din rail up on wall and is so compatible for the job
