Great family game
I've bought The Cube as a Christmas gift for my partners kids whom are 8 and 10 and are big fans of the show. After having a go I think that it'll be perfect for them at that age and I would say it's good from 8 and upwards. It is as exact as it could be in my opinion and a direct copy of the show. You compete in a series of challenges (from 33 possible) in order to win up to £250,000 as you would in the show. You start with 9 lives and lose one each time you fail a challenge. You can take a trial run and simplify too. All the controls are dead easy to use and are basically just the A,B, up, down, left and right. You can choose Single Player mode in which you just try to complete challenges that The Cube has set for you.Multiplayer mode where you can go up against another person in a few different types of game. There's 'sprint' in which the screen splits and you play simultaneously non stop in the same games and the first to finish five challenges is the winner. We loved this version, quite nerve wracking when you can see your challenger getting ahead and leaving you in their wake! Although the games are the same as you play side by side, they are slightly different so you won't be able to copy/watch the other persons screen to see what to do! No cheating allowed! There's 'head to head' in which The Cube chooses seven random games and you take turns to compete and there are no trail runs or simplifies. There is only one life for each game, so you either pass or. . .fail!Lastly there's 'challenge mode' which is a team event in which members take turns to perform the same challenge and start with nine lives as in the single player game. But more people can have a go here, quite fun.In game play it does actually look like you're in the cube and all the colours are spot on such as the red balls and cubes that are used in the throwing challenges and the floor works brilliantly too for the challenges where blocks or pathways appear and you have to count or memorize them within ten seconds. Also just as in The Cube the floor turns green or red whether you've passed or failed and with the proper music from the show this all adds to the challenging atmosphere. The motion sensing is spot on too and it does react to how hard or light you perform the tasks. Before each challenge is performed 'The Body' which is that person all in white with a white helmet on, performs the challenge correctly to show you how it's done! This is the actual video footage from the show and not a computer animation.A few of the challenges we've had a go at are. . .- Drop Shot- Pulse- Memory Flash- Stop Zone- Descent- Totalize- Reflex- Vault- Succession- Time Split- Velocity- Revolution- Quantity- Time FreezeThere are 33 in total but I won't spoil it for you and describe them all.It also goes into slow motion as you're playing sometimes if you've got a perfect shot or. . .just missed by a whisker! So to sum it up its a great family game which has loads of replayability and will have everyone ooing and ahhing. My kids liked it and they're 14 and 20 and I liked it too.

fun for all ages
I ordered this for the family to play at Christmas. It was out of stock everywhere and I didn't hold out much hope of it coming in time. Amazingly it arrived on Xmas eve! Great fun for all the family from my 7 year old to grandparents. The head to head challenge was a little tricky at times as was a quick fire round against the clock & your opponent and therefore no game explanations but you soon work it out and the more you play, you get used to the different games. Very glad I purchased this and great price too.

OKAY GETS BORING AFTER A WHILE
Having bought this game for my 13 year old, to start with it was very good, but after playing it was awhile, we were getting the same games and it became boring. Had the game out 2 or 3 times but now it is stored with the others and may come out occasionally, I think once you have played all the games, I personally didn't think there was enough, you get bored when they keep repeating the ones you have already played within five minutes of finishing it.if I had played this game before I bought it I wouldn't have bothered.

Pretty good family game
Our family loves the TV show and the thought of perhaps having a go at some of the tasks seemed like fun. There are several different modes you can play on but I suggest you have a go on the normal method first, so that you understand what is required of you for each game, otherwise when you come to play head to head, it can be a bit of a guessing game! This is by far our best mode as we are a very competitive family - Nanny and Grandad do like to mock each other! Some of the challenges are a little far-fetched, with the controllers not really offering real-life motion but the concept is good and worth a laugh of an evening.

Great fun.
Big fan of this on TV so got the Wii version and it's really good fun to play, like the real thing. I will say, some things aren't always massively clear so sometimes it doesn't 'respond' but perhaps that's just me! Overall, it's really good fun and a laugh. Quite a variety of different games to play.

good concept
the game is a good concept but in reality it is rubbish the game needs a bigger games company to make it a good game.it lags a lot freezes after 15 minuets of playing. so I would recommend buying this product.

Just like the real thing
We bought this for Christmas and the immediate opinion is that it is a great game. I can see it will get played a lot. There are a lot of the games you see in the TV programmes. Some are easy but most are very challenging without being too energetic.Games can be played as an individual or against an opponent. There is also a quick fire routine where you have to complete as many challenges as possible in 5 minutes.A real wiiner.

Unsuitable rating (A 3year Old Could NOT play this) - A total Waste of money
I purchased this thinking it would be great for all the family to play to try & compete against each other...The wii used to come out for all the family events so i thought a new game, Especially one thats suitable for ages 3 & up would be ideal for my whole family to play, From my 5 year old Niece through to my 56 year old Mum.Sadly this was not the case as the very 1st game is sooooo hard that even a test run with a 7 year old, A 12 year old, 2 18 year olds, A 23 year old, A 25 year Old, A 32 year old, A 36 year old, A 40 year old & A 42 year old couldn't even complete the 1st level. After time, After time of trying to play this everybody who was trying it gave up. This was an absolute waste of money & those of us who tried to play it could NOT understand how this game was given a rating of 3 years old & upwards as there is no way that a 3 year could complete this.
