Great starter solar generator, perfect for camping
Highly recommend! I did a lot of research on different brands and sizes before purchasing the EcoFlow River 2 Max. I liked that the solar panel was 160w compared to other similar priced brands were only 100w… this doesn’t disappoint. It means on a sunny day the solar panel charges the battery really quickly so a smaller capacity generator is adequate rather than having to spend loads more on a larger capacity. It was perfect for our needs. I charged 2 iPhones and 2 iPads most days and kept a 50w cool box running during the hottest part of the day. I knew it probably wasn’t big enough to keep the cool box running all night and day (although I haven’t actually tried it!) but we didn’t have anything that desperately needed to stay cold in there and it is insulated enough to last the night and not get too warm. When we went out for the day I put the solar panels on the roof of my van and plugged in the generator and cool box, and was very pleased to discover that the battery was full on our return and the cool box had stayed nice and cool. When we were camping I angled the solar panels to get the best charge and was surprised to discover how just a small change in angle or position can dramatically change the amount of energy produced. The only day it didn’t charge much was cloudy and overcast and even then there was enough energy in the battery to keep the cool box running for several hours, charge phones and still not drop below around 65%! I like the light weight solar panels, I wasn’t sure about the stand and thought it looked a bit flimsy but actually it works well. I will make some covers so the metal stand doesn’t scratch the roof of my van when I put them up there (only when stationary!) I had thought about putting them in the windscreen of my van when out but they are too big for that (my Mum’s unbranded 100w ones fit fine but are much heavier and bulky) however they are fine on the roof and being a van you can’t see there are there anyway - helped by the thin nature of them. The display is clear and I like watching how much charge is going in and out. You can link to an app on your phone but after setting this up I have hardly used it as it is easier to just look at the display. Extremely easy to use and portable… so you can follow the sun around the tent! I like that you can use them anywhere, at home, in the van, in a tent… great for off grid camping or the more basic campsites. I have never paid for electric hook up and don’t intent to start now! Great value for money when compared to other brands, and the 160w solar panel is worth it. I read somewhere to buy the biggest battery and solar panel you can afford, and whilst this was more than I was initially hoping to spend it was worth every penny and I’m glad I didn’t spend more on the bigger capacity ones as for us it would be unnecessary. If you are running a fridge / cool box continuously then you would probably need a bigger capacity but for our needs and just keeping the cool box cold during the day and a bit of device charging it was perfect. We plugged the cool box into the van when driving so that kept it cool then, and in theory we could have charged the battery of the generator when driving too but we didn’t need to. It was a mostly sunny week so the solar panel was all we needed.

A great solution to my work problems on site
Works very well, not too heavy and set up was simple. I use it to power my vehicle lights (beacons etc), while the engine is off (vehicle can be locked and left with warning systems active and not get knicked). The beacon ran for 3 hours and only drew 2% of the stored charge. I can't wait to run it with my laptop... This is the first large portable bank I have purchased, but the information, storage and cost were all exceptional. Good variety of USB and car ports to power the equipment. There were some delivery issues, but EcoFlow were amazing, thank you for that.

Does it's job very well
We absolutely love this power station. We use it in our motorhome. If we are off-grid we can charge phones, iPad, smaller power banks for many days however when we plugged in an electric cooler fridge it was drained by the morning ( them fridges do use a lot of power though) its portable enough to put in one of the cupboards but it is a little weighty so make sure it's secure. It doesn't have a bad charging time either. All in all very happy with it , would like a larger capacity one and maybe some solar panels then I would be over the moon

Faulty Product & Extremely Poor Customer Service - Buyers Beware!
I purchased this EcoFlow power station just over a month ago, and it was defective from the moment I started using it. The unit consistently fails to charge to 100% (stuck at 90% or less), and the battery capacity drops significantly and immediately after charging, showing a major internal fault. The customer service from EcoFlow-UK has been exceptionally slow and unhelpful. 1. Slow Response: I received minimal responses, often having to wait 2 to 3 days for a vague reply that did not move the resolution process forward. 2. Lack of Motivation: The service team showed no urgency or real intent to resolve the issue. They initially wasted time with basic troubleshooting steps despite clear evidence of a major defect. 3. Unacceptable Resolution: For a brand new, faulty unit, they offered either a lengthy repair or a refurbished (used) replacement. This is completely unacceptable for a product that failed almost immediately. 4. Time Wasted: The slow communication and failure to provide an immediate solution meant I missed the opportunity to use the power station for its intended purpose (camping last week). My time has been wasted by a company that prioritizes dragging out the process over satisfying the customer. I am now demanding a full refund, as I have lost confidence in both the product quality and EcoFlow's after-sales support, but I don’t know when they will respond. I strongly advise potential buyers to consider the risk of receiving a faulty unit and dealing with this level of substandard customer service. Follow up the customer service , Waiting around 1 month for their respond, I can Procedural Incompetence on Return: After finally agreeing to an exchange/return, their team provided a prepaid return label and instructed me to drop it off at a standard FedEx center. FedEx immediately refused the package because this large lithium battery is classified as DANGEROUS GOODS (HAZMAT) and requires specialized handling and collection. EcoFlow's customer service team demonstrated a fundamental lack of knowledge regarding shipping their own product, causing me a useless trip, direct financial loss (transportation costs), and further extreme delay. This is an obstruction of the return process. Conclusion: Do not risk your time or money. The product failed, and the company's after-sales service is utterly incompetent, failing to provide a working solution or even correct return instructions. Demand a full refund and avoid this company. UPDATE (Dec 2025): A complete nightmare from start to finish. This is an official warning to potential buyers. > I purchased this unit on [State Purchase Date] and reported it as defective on 20th November. After over three weeks, the issue remains unresolved due to deliberate obstruction by EcoFlow Customer Service. > The Timeline of Deliberate Delay and Incompetence: > * Faulty Product: Unit failed immediately (cannot charge fully). > * The 'Escalation' Lie: For over two weeks, the seller's only consistent action was to promise that they would "follow up and escalate the issue." However, every response received was generic, and upon questioning their lack of action, they simply repeated the same empty lines. This is a clear strategy to delay the process until the customer gives up. > * Return Obstruction #1 (Logistics): The company provided a standard return label for FedEx drop-off, a method that is impossible for Dangerous Goods (large lithium batteries). This wasted my time. > * Return Obstruction #2 (Time): After admitting their error, the seller refused to arrange a specialized evening pickup, effectively demanding that I take time off work to compensate for their defective product. > * Insulting "Compensation": Their final offer for my extreme inconvenience, time wasted, and mental distress was an "EcoFlow cushion." > Final Conclusion: EcoFlow's after-sales service is utterly incompetent and relies entirely on delay tactics to avoid processing refunds and retrieving their faulty items. They repeatedly promised arrangements and follow-ups, but nothing was ever actually arranged. I have ceased all contact and am escalating this entire case to the Amazon A-to-z Guarantee claim for resolution. > DO NOT BUY! If you receive a faulty unit, you will be trapped in a cycle of endless "escalations" until the return window closes.

I just used it twice with the 12 v output. It works really well with stable tension. Loading is fast and the mobile phone app is well done and allows parameters tuning and firmware update. I cannot yet tell about reliability, but the first impression is excellent.

Station de qualité et robuste. Rien à redire sur la qualité Ecoflow. Le panneau est efficace et la recharge assez vite. Recharge aussi sur allume cigare et secteur donc super polyvalente.
