This is a beautiful chess set. The appearance and feel of these pieces spark joy for me. Nice wood, good weight, slides on the board satisfyingly.

Great pieces! Looks beautiful with my 17” board with a similar color palette. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it for a wonderful looking set. Definitely tournament grade quality and weight. The color is lighter than what is pictured as you can see.

Overall this is a very nice set. It fits perfectly on a 17x17 inch board. Do be sure to pair with a nicer board - it's a joy to behold. The reasons for the 4-star rating are: 1. The color on the dark pieces is subdued. It's not nearly as dark and rich as in the seller's photos. Also the dark stain isn't evenly applied to all pieces. 2. Horse nostrils. One of the knight pieces has very uneven nostrils. It's almost comical. Not at all a deal breaker but still.

Very nicely crafted chess men, made from quality wood, with a nice finish. The weighting adds a pleasant tactile experience.

I bought them to have high quality chess pieces and the were far for what I expected. They had black spots, the green carpet was lifted up, and it had some bumps. Honestly, I think they bought the exact same pieces here in Amazon and they are just reselling them higher after being used.

Great feel, great weight on the pieces. A couple small pieces weren’t cut all the way out of the wood but cleaned up easy and we love the set.
