Blue based but looks purple
The media could not be loaded. This is a very deep blue so works well for me because I have a lot of red in my brown hair that I like to cool down. I only used it on my roots but let it sit on my lengths when I rinsed it out, for a bit. I never follow instructions so put it on dirty dirty hair for about 3 hours and covered in cling film then shampooed with my normal anti-dandruff shampoo then conditioned. I don’t think it needs this long to take, it was very very dark and covered my greys completely. After a couple of washes it still looks very very dark. This is a heavily pigmented dye so I had a blue scalp in a couple of places even tarter my second wash, but that’s why it covers greys I guess. Water runs blue, might stain your shower if you don’t rinse it off straight away. Didn’t damage my hair, actually felt stronger. I’ll be getting this from now on. Sorry I didn’t do a before photo but I had lots of white hairs at my roots prior to the root job 🙂

No reaction, definitely semi permanent and covered my green hair
I've never ever used crazy colour dye before. I tried the canary yellow around 2 weeks ago and the formula is great, works really well. I wanted to change things up though which is why I got the semi permanent black. I've had green hair for over a year and I'm constantly wanting to add other colours with it because just green feels so plain. I didn't like the yellow too much and decided to do half green and half black this week. I've never had black hair because I'm actually allergic to black henna tattoos and whenever I've patch tested black dyes, I have gotten reactions to them but no other colour. Patch tested the black and it was fine so i used it but still took precautions. To my surprise, there was no reaction! It did make my hair feel a bit stiff after using it like all the oils got stripped from my hair but the emerald green I used for the other side felt smooth, soft and silky. I used to always use la riche directions but have found the colour slips from my hair in an instant because the porosity of my hair is so bad it doesn't even take to permanent dye. I haven't washed my hair since I only dyed it yesterday but it has definitely rubbed off onto my pillows and wall that I lean against. I'm really happy with this brand of dye and might use it more often because the colours are so vibrant and are WAY better for me than la riche directions and those harmful box dyes. The only thing I had to do differently was add a small dot of the black to the emerald green because apparently it comes out more neon and I wanted the blue from the black to make it a bit more 'pine green'. All in all, I'm impressed and will be buying from this brand more often. (UPDATE) the black definitely has faded which is perfect! I wasnt sure if I was committed to the black so I'm glad it had faded. The black did cover my green hair too. All in all, I love these hair dyes!

A nice colour wash but doesn’t cover greys
*picture review for fringe only, not pony tail as they’re hair extensions!*Hair colour on top of 2 month old black hair dye, undyed mousy brown roots with greys and undyed eyebrows.Pros-• hair felt softer• hair seems glossier• hair colour seems refreshed• colour washes off hands and skin far better than standard box dye• packaging allows for partial application, reducing wastage• smells less chemically than standard box dyeCons-• doesn’t cover greys• colour lacks rich vibrancy of standard dyeOverall I’m happy with this colour. It is certainly more “natural black” than the box dye option. I like the result well enough, and I really like that I’m not wasting a whole box of dye on my low density hair that simply doesn’t need it.I’ll buy this again.

Not the best
I usually dye my hair dark but wanted to try something semi permanent for a change. Left my scalp blue, left my hair blue too to begin with. Had to wash it 3 times with anti dandruff shampoo to get the blue out. It also stained my bath, the bath mat, my towels all blue. Bit of a nightmare lol! Now that I've washed it a few times it has kind of worked. Doesn't cover greys though.

Love it
Use this all the time and am always being complimented about the colour of my hair. Best thing is that it washes out of anything you get it on. Unless it's the door or walls 🤣🤣

Not same colour as advertised
This colour is more pink than it is red. It also doesn't cover grey hairs well at all and leaves hair looking uneven in colour. Not impressed.

One of the best red hair colours
I have medium to dark brunette hair and the red shades of this dye work fine on me. Not overly bright in room lighting but really red outside. It tends to last quite a while too. I haven't dyed my hair since September 2023, and my hair is still red (minus outgrown roots etc) now.I found that the colour builds up over time as well, which makes getting brighter hair easier but it can then become more difficult to get your roots to match the rest of your hair when it comes to re-dying it. Obviously that's a brunette problem. It would be fine for lighter hair.I've also spilled this on my carpet countless times and with a bit of carpet cleaner, it comes right out.
