I searched everywhere for the right one of these!
I have spent between 20 and 40 pounds on ALL SORTS of ''tap adapters'' ie screw top ones ( useless ) push down bar ones ( worked for a while , sometimes , then failed ) , too small ones which would not fit on my taps but ''back in the old days'' THESE are the only tap adapters which were around and they WORKEDSo after all the plastic ones failed over and over I ordered one of these which was TOO SMALL so I knew I had to try the larger one as it may be the only thing to save the day and 'plug' my dishwasher in to the tap and it WORKED a treat! NOT ONE DROP OF LEAKAGE like the others AND there is room to switch my tap OFF after unlike many on the others which was worrying in case of a huge leak but this one is STURDY and I will be bringing it with me when I move home and I will ONLY use these tap adapters in future as they got it right many years ago when I used to 'plumb' my twin tub washing machine to the taps etc and these type of adapters always worked then so why not now indeed? :-)Just a bit EXPENSIVE at 13 pounds BUT compared to what I have spent in total it is worth every single penny and my dishes and cutlery are no longer piling up now so it gives me a feeling of being 'on top of things' in the home when the dishes etc are all CLEARED regularly each day not piling up while I tried to find the right adapter to WORK , so a happy result today!! :-) :-)

Only suitable one I could find.
This fitted over a 30mm collar on tap neck and made perfect seal without heavy tightening.I have immediately ordered another in case it becomes unavailable. It’s well made so I can recommend it!

Bursts under normal tap pressure
This seemed like the perfect connection for a hose and sprinkler to an outside tap with a thread nothing would screw onto. Supple enough to go on really easily and at first didn’t leak, even though it blows up like a little balloon. Then it began to leak and within a week had burst. Luckily it was an outside tap! Doesn’t seem really fit for purpose… High hopes shattered.

This one is perfect for my kitchen tap
This one is perfect for my kitchen tap. I first bought Hozelock Round Mixer Tap Connector(maximum of 24mm diameter) , but it was a bit too small and short, so it was difficult to attach and once came loose. This one, however, is perfect! Also, the connectors are in brass instead of plastic, so it's likely to hold up much better in the long run.Added 22/07/2018: I have now had it for slightly more than two months, and have used it daily during the many warm days we've had since the middle of June. During this time, it has come loose three times, usually because I didn't fasten it securely enough. My kitchen tap looks exactly like the one Michael Pottinger shows in his picture, but as my water pressure is only 2 bars, it works fine.Since the first time it came off, I make sure of moving the tap so it's above the smaller of my two sinks, and I then thread the hose (one of those soft, expanding ones) around the hot and cold water levers. This ensures that if the adaptor comes loose, the connection will simply fall down into the sink instead of ending up on the kitchen floor and have all the water in the hose flowing out, which happened the first time. However, as it's made of rubber, which slowly will become brittle, I'm buying another one today to keep in reserve. This is a simple and quick solution that works surprisingly well. But when I refurbish the kitchen, hopefully within a year, I will install a proper connection under the sink. In the long run, that's the best solution.

This one works
I bought several of these types of connectors and this is the only one that has fit onto my slightly larger than usual tap, stays in place even under pressure and is well made and durable. I would buy it again.

Very happy
Looked for ages and was going to buy a cheaper one but glad I went for this, I have tried it once to check it works and it did, without any leaks as water ran through and it was securely fitted on the tap, I just hope the sealant keeps strong with more usage

FINALLY ONE THAT WORKS!
I've been through FOUR of this type of kitchen tap to hose connector & previously, as soon as I turned on the tap, it fell off -- spraying water around the kitchen in the process. The DIFFERENCE here is that the neck of the connector is longer and it has ridges inside so it tightens better around the metal tap.
