The price might be a little bit higher than some. But for the price, this is really a fantastic unit! The quick read for only one second was exactly something I was looking for. Don’t have to be concerned about moisture because of it being really sealed. It looks like it’s rugged and the display, Easy to use. I really enjoy because you could have it in different views and be able to read it properly. Really enjoy this purchase!!!

I truly believe I’ve owned or used every instant read cooking thermometer ever made. When my beloved, old thermometer kicked the bucket (the battery chamber fell off in pieces) I contacted the manufacturer, Thermopen, and was offered two options, repair ($40.00) or a special deal on replacement ($70.00). Neither option appealed and the old unit went in the garbage, to be replaced by the new ThermoPro Lightning. I’ve had the unit for a week and cannot address its longevity but suffice it to say, it’s a generation ahead of any instant read cooking thermometer I’ve ever used. It is truly lightening fast, bright and legible, water resistant and accurate. It works right handed or left handed as the reading is always properly oriented, it has a built in magnet and hangs on the refrigerator without the need for an expensive silicone case. It uses a single AAA battery, as opposed to expensive button-type batteries and, to top it all, it’s way less expensive than replacing my old unit. Great thermometer!

Excellent response time, but more importantly was it's stability. The reading settled quickly and gave me confidence in my measurement. I'm now getting very consistent results on our family steaks.

Great thermometer. It takes temps really fast. The display will shift if you are holding it from your left or right hand. The prong folds in to the side so it hides the sharp point! Only thing is cleaning it can be a little tedious because of the small crevasses. But by using a toothpicks, it can easily get things out. I will update once I use this for a year.

This is a well made quality product for assuring meat is cooked to the correct temperature. I use it daily and love that it’s magnetic allows me to mount it on the inside of my oven hood. So convenient and close to hand. Recommend highly!!

Accurate, Fast, Temperature

Fast delivery & easy to use. Works very well!

Works as well as units twice or even three times the price. Bread, casseroles, pies, cakes, fish, roasts and everything on the BBQ. No burning knuckles waiting for the temperature of that steak that looks done but isn't. No over cooking the sausage that doesn't look done but is! Extremely fast and accurate. Thin, sharp, long probe does everything without damaging the food. High temperature range for deep frying and candy making if you are into that. Have bought several for family and friends.

This is better than I thought it would be, the spike is thin and sharp and the read out is very fast. Its the only one I will buy in future.

This product is truly exceptional and fast which is a significant benefit when smoking and/or bbq'ing. Not only has this product phenomenally performed but after two years upon the probe wire breaking, the company replaced the unit without 0 questions nor hassles. I actually received the new unit in less of 24 hours from calling tech support. Outstanding brand and company. Highly recommend & Well done!

Thermometer is so quick and accurate for reading internal food temperatures. Worth the money spent.
