Money Saving Solution For Small Business Owners
We had a Comdial 3-line phone system that was beginning to malfunction at my retail shoe store. It was approaching 20-years old so I couldn't complain. At the time I paid about $3K for the PBX controller, six extensions, and installation. Of course it was an analog system as all were at the time. So early in 2013 I literally had to get a new phone system as the Comdia catastrophically failed one day.Things change and it seemed the company I used before wasn't even in business so I got online and looked around. There's lots of systems that use VOIP technology but we use POTS (plain old telephone service)and I did not want expensive rewiring. Plus most of those systems I was looking at cost well over $2K plus I'd have the cost of rewiring two physically separate stores that are about a hundred feet apart (on same block, but not side-by-side). It came down to trying Amazon and the X-16 small office phone system bundle here. At least with Amazon being the seller I felt comfortable if the system wasn't up to my needs I could rest assured they'd authorize a return.Well, I'm glad to say this is an excellent solution. One only needs the skills to remove old equipment and plug the new phones in existing phone lines. The only difference I've noticed is that the phone audio is converted in the X16 controller (really a dedicated compact computer) to digital and sent over existing wires to each phone where it is converted back to analog. This is, of course, better quality audio. I only have one small complaint and it likely won't be one that will effect too many user's situations...That is while the loudest ring tones are robust enough for noisy environments, the intercom calling may not be. One of our extensions in a shoe repair show and when the AC is on, the grinder grinding away, and background music playing the loudest setting for the intercom isn't quite enough to match my old Comdial system. After some initial complaints from my employees, who were naturally acclimated to the louder Comdial, I think we've just gotten use to being a little more observant as well as accepting. I do not think but a select few users will ever find this chink in an otherwise robust and solid phone system that qualifies as a stone bargain with added benefit of super-easy installation requirements. I don't see where anyone needing a small system could find a better one for less. This is it!

Impressive
I love these phones. I purchased this system to upgrade the outdated phone system in my office. They perform exceptionally well, offering all the features of the previous system and more. The former system was complex and made it necessary contacting support for any issues or modifications. In contrast, this system is remarkably straightforward to install, even for individuals without prior experience. Additionally, the phones are user-friendly when it comes to programming and customization.

Good small office phone system.
We needed to replace a 20+ year old analog phone system that was just wearing out. This was a easy install / replacement and a big improvement. The handset shape could be better but all the features work. Wish we could put our own music on hold. Great system for the money.

X16 XBlue phone system
To be honest, we have not used the phone system as of yet. We are moving our offices in a week and they will be installed at the new location. I anticipate a very good system as others have recommended the system to me and my IT person also agreed. I want to offer high praises to the company from which I purchased the phone system. Tel Depot. They are amazing! I have never been so impressed with services offered by a retailer and I worked in retail for over 22 years of my life. This was my first experience ordering via Amazon. I must say, it has been a very good experience. When I ordered the phone system from TelDepot online I suddenly thought to ask if all the cabling, server, etc. were also included in the package or if they needed to be ordered separately and so I emailed a request of this information to the company. Literally, within 10-15 minutes of my emailing them I received a telephone call from a lady with TelDepot saying all components needed were included in the package and it would be shipped that day. She called me back a very short while later, possibly 20 minutes later and said that she had just finished packaging our phone system and it was ready for shipping. I received it within a few days and she was very knowledgable about the system and provided prompt and courteous service. I have already recommended TelDepot to others I know looking for electronics and phone systems. Very satisfied.

X16 sound issues
Installed this in an office since they stated it would work with existing wiring. Well there was an echo while talking into the headset and voicemail was very soft. Called X16 tech support they informed of settings to change on system to try and remedy the sound issues. They helped a little but making the voicemail and headset adjustments left a light echo in headset while talking. Speaker somehow when you were talking was now to soft for others to hear so guessing one of the other adjustments had an affect on this setting. Tried to do adjustments X16 told me but no luck must be a defective unit because all the reviews were positive about the system that is why I purchased it in first place. Now using a NEC system instead and so far no echoing in head set with default settings and voicemail is good also with default settings on new system so wires were not the cause of my issue with the x16 system.

Easy install. user/tech friendly
Customer already had an old analog office system, so all the wires were already pretty much in place, 1 hour and I was out of there done. Theres no complicated programming (*thankfully).I had to reterminate a couple wires (changed from rj45 to rj11). Customers were happy, I was happy. Pretty much plug and play on this one 👍🏾
