This isn't a gimmick, and I'm really liking how well this silicone mat works. The results are marvelous!The first time I used the mat, I baked one of our families favorite foods which we've enjoyed for several years,Panko breaded chicken, which turned out all over golden brown, more tender & moist then ever before, without turning.Our favorite store bought (frozen) egg rolls have never turned out as evenly baked & moist or tasted this good.The mat works as advertised ~ air circulates under food so it cooks evenly and crisp,and fat drips off the food which makes it much healthier.Food bakes perfectly without burning ~ sticking or drying out.And because food is left more moist, reheated leftovers are also more moist and tender.This is also great for heating leftovers in the microwave, the food is just like fresh baked.especially if it's a small amount that the mat can be pulled over the top of the food also.Some foods my need to be baked a few degrees higher (25 to 50) then the recipe calls for, &/or a few minutes longer.The page of information that comes with the mat includes 15 really good recipes that bake well on this mat.So far, we've tried 5 of them and thought the recipe was especially good.The product description on Amazon says up to 480 degrees.But the information that comes with the mat says ~ "Do not exceed 450 degrees in a conventional oven"Microwave safe.Hand wash & shake dry.Dishwasher safe.11 1/2" x 16 1/4" ~ but easily be cut to size.Easy to store in a drawer ~ when rolled up it's 3" diaUpdate - Aug 8, 2014. Still impressed with how food bakes - perfectly.But - the mat is very hard/impossible get clean each time by hand.Cleaned off what could - and kept using the mat. Food is still great.However - burned on build-up got to a point of wanting the mat cleaned well.Tried many cleaners, nothing gets the black, burned-on crud off.Our daughter ran it through her dishwasher - pressure washing - 3 times.Soaking between times in soda and hot water - scrubbed with a scrub brush -and tried several other cleaners - and cleaning ideaswhich resulted in most of the crud off but some black burned on grease still remained.The mat is permanently brown/black on both sides.The mat color - nor the black squares burned on the surface of the panit's been repeatedly used in - which can't be cleaned off, doesn't bother me.But wanted to mention how hard it is to clean the mat.And it's potential to ruin the looks of an expensive pan.-----------------------------------------------------------------------Granted we've used this mat a lot.1st photo, freshly scrubbed with hot soap & water.2nd, back of mat3rd, blackened bottom of pan++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Update Dec 14, 2016 Same panWe've had foil under the mat soon after the first photos (Aug 2014)The foil may slow down the speed of darkening, but I don't feel it'll stop it.To be fair = this mat has been used a ton.Last 3 photos = top of mat / bottom of mat / same pan.

So so thin and flimsy! Had seen a product like this advertised on TV. Thought that was what I was getting. It wasn't. Took weeks to arrive and packaging was totally torn up. No, I do not recommend. Save your money!

I had high hopes of using this to be more environmentally friendly instead of wasting aluminum foil to line my baking sheets, but it did not meet my expectations. It wasn't that easy to clean (I had to really scrub in between each pyramid), and after several uses there was burnt parts that didn't come off no matter how much I scrubbed. I ended up trashing it. It did do a good job of cooking both sides nicely for chicken strips, but not fish nuggets (I still had to flip those).

I bought this for my wife, as she was tired of scrubbing cooking trays/sheets. It seemed as if we ran out of aluminum foil at the wrong moment as well. The Pyramid Pan looked like a nice idea to try.It has surpassed all my expectations and my wife loves it so much I had to order another one. It allows air to get under the food and keeps breadednitems from getting soggy on the bottom. Fits perfect on our baking pans and is so easy to clean. Can't go wrong.

Bought this for the pattern to make a fondant/gumpaste impression to apply to cakes. The rivets come out beautifully and when left to dry overnight once or twice, it’s sturdy enough to use as a design on a cake.

Haven't baked anything with these. Mainly bought them, cut them to size to put in the bottom of my Ninja 4 in 1 Cooking System to keep things from scratching the bottom. Works great. Highest heat I've used them with is 400f. Clean up easily by hand, no need to put in a dishwasher.

Does what is supposed to do very well, but is really difficult to clean up.I tried many method like leaving in soapy water overnight to loose what is stuck, and even after that I had to use a brush, and there was still stuff that wouldn come off. So basically after that I didn't use for chicken anymore, just for potatoes , and they come out perfect.

Purchased this thinking it was going to be as advertised. WRONG. Thin material, not thick like what you see in stores. Went to Bed Bath & Beyond the next day....and saw what I THOUGHT I was getting. Box is the same...Product is NOT. Would not recommend.
