Yes, I used the G4 LEDs to convert all my 12v halogen yard lights over to LED. Be sure to order the appropriate color intensity LEDs.

Q: what is the dimensions of the base where prongs exit bulb? The base is too large to fit into reflector opening as the halogen bulbs were?

The glass body diameter is. .40". The pins project .32" from the glass. The pin diameter is .028" and the center-to-center dimension of the pins is .158" I hope this helps.

Pay attention to the 2 pins/legs on the lamp, this can be used in any part/ appliance that has a standard filament in exchange for this G4 LED or Halogen Bulb
