Eye-opening info with realistic steps to feel better
This book has helped me so much in just a short time. First, I love how the author shares the science behind the horomones, I found it very practical and understandable. It was communicated in such a relatable way that I immediately was able to see where I could begin to implement changes according to my personal "symptoms". I have been having annoying hot flashes, day and night, some joint pain, and stubborn belly fat. Although the book has many reccomendations for products, I decided to just try a couple that related to my current menopausal experience. I thought I'd share so those who have a similar situation may have a better guideline for relief/reset.I was already involved in powerlifting, which is a strength sport where you weight train at the gym for three events: bench press, deadlift, squat. Gals, I cannot reccommend powerlifting enough for us, especially if you are having ye olde menopausaul symptoms. I feel 95% better overall from my hot flashes (plus mood, sleep and energy), if I train throughout the week. Plus, it's the best thing for bone density, which is covered in this book. Also, it's a quick way to add muscle. And overall confidence.Second, I purchased the Femicrine biotics the author reccomends. These had me feeling better immediately. Within two days, my day hot flashes went way down.Third I purchaed the KetoMojo device to track my blood ketones and glucose. I decided that I was likely insulin resistant, and adopted the ketobiotic diet the author suggested. Within one week, I have been able to feel so so much better- a marked reduction in hot flashes, and I can see that my belly fat has melted off quite a bit. Best of all, my joint pain seems to also be on the way out!The keto diet works great with my powerlifting goals, too. Lots of protein! And my energy levels to train are adequate.Along with the Keto diet I am also following one of the author's fasting concepts- which is the 16:8 one. I think she calls it intermittent fasting (fast 15-16 hours between last meal and first.)Also! I have been doing breathwork for several years now, and this has already helped my stop dumping stress (cortisol) into my system. So I fully advocate some kind of dailyish practice where you slow down and reset your nervous sytem.I love this book and must restrain myself from shoving it into everyone's face; it's been so helpful. So grateful to have found it!November 2024 update: still symptom free since May 2024. I have even gone back to relatively typical diet with carbs, but still alot of protein and not as much sugar and no alcohol. Still strength training, and I usually take a daily supplement of Femicrine and also Bio Optimizer Magnesium.

What every woman should know to feel great
As a postmenopausal woman who has been experiencing those so called "normal" symptoms of hot flashes, hair loss, dry skin, trouble sleeping and loss of libido for years, I view this book as life saving. Ladies, this isn't normal, and it doesn't have to be this way. We have power over our own bodies, we can help ourselves, and we can do it by following the steps in this book.As someone looking for answers online, I found Keto and intermittent fasting. Are they amazing? Yes! Are they enough? No. I started hearing "women shouldn't do Keto". Who should you believe? As I went from video to video online I ran across Dr. Mindy. What an eye-opening experience! Here is someone who can explain why things happen to your body and what you can do to help yourself in an easy to understand way. This book puts all of that information in a simple, easy-to-read format. This is the book every woman should read, whether they are going through premenopause, perimenopause, menopause or postmenopause. Why aren't all of us being taught this as we go through life? When I started having hot flashes in my late 40s I hadn't even heard the term perimenopause, my doctor just threw that out at me like I knew exactly what it meant, then smiled and said "this could last up to 5 years". What?? And this is the guidance we get?I want all of my friends and family to read this book, that's how powerful this information is. Will it require work on your part? Yes! It's your body, take care of it! I don't know about you, but I want to age with grace and incredible health and feel great doing it. Please, do yourself a favor and buy this book, you won't be sorry.

Lifestyle health bible!
Well written and easy read! I wish I had this information so long ago!! Now being post menopausal, this fasting approach to healing is a game changer! Dr Mindy's YouTube channel is one of my favorites. Loaded with information to support your healthy fasting journey to support hormones and overall health. I have Hashimoto's and have been doing the naturopathic route for many years, but fasting was never suggested, unfortunately. Maybe because it heals and I wont need a bijillion supplements. This book was really helpful to dial some things in, since watching just videos can feel like an overload. I bought my daughter's the Fast Like a Girl book so they will have all of this much earlier on in life. All girls should learn this when they start menstruating!

Best resource on menopause we found!
The media could not be loaded. Great book! My mom got it to support her during this confusing time and it’s been a great help. Lots of videos on TikTok and YouTube recommended how this book really changed their lives and help them. Tweak their daily habits to minimize symptoms. It’s so refreshing to really understand what the cause of your symptoms are and how this affects all women so you don’t feel like you’re going through this alone. There’s really not a lot of information out there about menopause so this was a great option for her. Overall, I can’t recommend this enough because it really dives deep into how declining hormones affect the whole body and especially has a large amount of information on metabolism, which is a pretty common concern for a lot of women.
