You do have to scoop up the piles of cat hair this rakes up but then you have to clean out brushes as well when you clean the floor. This gets up minute hair and fuzz and is so quick about it. Really love this!

This tool is amazingly effective in getting pet/human hair out of rugs, stairs, pet beds, cat towers,car upholstery/rugs, and furniture. Test an area, because any loose weaves will pull. No sweater type material either.Having those warnings, I have both the short handheld, and long version of this tool. Vacuuming does a decent job, but using this rake will enlighten you to what's left behind.If you're on the fence, try the handheld version. You'll probably like it enough to come back for this one.

Assembly was easy, it came with two loose red stickers in box that stated, “STOP, do not extend beyond dotted line.” I had to go online to find out that they should have come affixed to pole. I didn't know where to put them so I just won’t extend it too far. As seen in photo, the use instructions give very little info. It was trial & error and, again, going online for info. The head has two different sides with no info why, only that if one side doesn’t work, use the other. Again, I researched the info online. Once I figured out how to properly use the tool, I was amazed how much hair & dust it accumulated. You do need to use pressure & go over the area repeatedly. I also found that going over the same area at a right angle removed even more. It accumulated in a pile, doesn’t stick to the head of the tool. You have to bend over & pick it up by hand. My carpet didn’t look like it had hair imbedded, it just looked dingy. I was going to shampoo it, then thought I’d try this tool first. This pile is what I removed from a 3x3 foot area. I was amazed. It not only removed deeply imbedded hair but loosened up dust & debris. When I finish, I’ll vac & shampoo. I plan on getting their smaller tool for furniture. I highly recommend the tool for it’s function, but the directions were severely lacking. If your going to produce a quality product, provide easily accessible information so that people can use it to it’s optimum function.

Love this rake. It picks up hair better than my vacuum. Plus it’s soothing to use. Addictive. I vacuum first, then use the rake. Get a lot more hair & carpet looks brand new.

We purchased the smaller hand sized one in the past and always wanted one on a long pole like a rake for easier cleaning. Was excited to get one on prime day but when it arrived, pole one would not attach to the cleaning bar. The holes did not match up probably due to a manufacturing issue and the bolt and washer wouldnt thread through the holes properly. Amazon sent a replacement right away and accepted my return no problem. The 2nd one fit perfectly and I was able to assemble it in 5 minutes. It works great and no more bending over to pick up cat hair from the carpet. 5 stars for a great product even with the defect on the first one sent. 5 stars to Amazon's customer service for awesome help.

Takes a lot of effort to scrape the hair but it’s does help a little more then just vacuuming. It’s more convenient for me to use on my carpet stairs than lugging the vacuum up and down the stairs then having to break out the attachments to get the corners cleaned. Still not a replacement for vacuum because it’s doesn’t grab dirt just hair. I will say it fluffs up the carpet where it’s laid down for high traffic. That makes vacuum afterwards feel more effective. Lots of effort to make that happen still. All and all happy to have it I just thought it would work better.

THIS IS AMAZING !!! well worth the money. i have a huge armoire in my bedroom that one of my cats loves to sleep under. the carpet under it, of course would get loaded with hair, especially if i got behind on brushing her.the old rubbery squeegee on a long pole i had drove me nuts. after a short time, the head part kept coming off as i was using it because it wasn't secured on in any fashion so after every few passes it would come off. really stupid design, and all the others i kept looking at looked the same. the hair scraper head part wasn't secured to the pole.i saw an ad for this somewhere else, and came to amazon and ordered it here because it was available here too, and shipping is fast, returns are easy, etc.just used it and it scraped up so much hair! ALL of it and so easily. it came with the smaller hand sized one, so after i scraped up all the hair under the armoire with this long one i used the smaller one to scrape that into a pile and easily picked the piles of hair up.ALSO GREAT was that there was no need to vacuum with an attachment under there and in front of it where the hair that my old squeegee scraped up would gather because i used the smaller hand held size that was included to pull the long 'lines' of hair into piles and just picked those up with my hand. there was NOTHING to vacuum under there or in front because it TRULY got 100% of the hair off the carpet. AND i'm not fighting with the 'head' part the entire time because you secure it to the pole with a screw/wing nut type deal after you extend the 2 pole pieces to the length you want.I LOVE THIS! WELL WORTH THE COST!
