Q: Do I have to turn off the lights to charge

No. Once they are out in the garden there is no need to touch them. They charge by day and shine by night.

Q: how many led lights are there in these lights

hi according to the advertisement there are 51 led; s per lamp not 4???

Q: Where is the on off switch

The on/off switch on my lamps is inside the lamp section. Twist the solar panel anti-clockwise to remove and you will see an on/off switch on the underside. I’m not sure why my lamps are different to everyone else’s. It took me a week to find the switch!

I dont think I would use them as "security lights". They are ornamental garden solar lights.
