I love this thing!
I have saved numerous cordless tools by rebuilding the batteries with this spot welder. It is good for lightweight conducting strips, but probably not enough power for heavier conductors. Nonetheless, I still love the ease and convenience of this spot welder.

Great value for building 18650 packs
It’s suitable for building battery packs. I practiced with varying power levels on dummy batteries first. and found power 6 with medium pressure the best. Built a 7S pack 18650 that works great. The manual is bad. It mostly references other models that have a full display. It took me a little time to fiddle with the controls to understand how the 8 power levels are indicated with only 4 LED segments. Nevertheless I give it 5 stars because it works well and the price was right..

Good until it goes bad...
Excellent welder until you don't use it for a few months. Batteries died and would not re-charge. Not even a year old. Lasted 6 months.Edited: The seller made right by sending me a new unit WITHOUT contacting them first. They did it as EXCELLENT customer service. I was also told to make sure battery is charged EVERY 2-3 months. GOOD ADVICE to know if you purchase this unit.

Great welder for the money.
This is a great little welder for 18650-21700 packs. For the cost the performance is amazing.....the only "trouble" I has was that the tubes that screw to the cables and hold the tips get hot after a few dozen welds. However that's probably a good thing as it forces you to stop and take a break which is probably a good idea as I am sure the capacitors and other internals also see some heat passing this much current. One thing that would be nice and I plan to install on mine is some tip sleeves so that only the very end of the tip is uninsulated. Several times while welding I accidently allowed the tips to touch which causes a huge discharge of current that I am sure the caps do not like....although the welder seems fine despite my clubsy ass doing it twice LOLs

Works, but not phenomenal
Out of the box, unusable. The ends of the leads are supposed to be slotted so they compress when plugged in. One of mine was not and it was too large to plug in. I had to sand it until it would go in, but then due to its taper, it wasn't tight so I had to shim it with a sliver of the included nickel strip. As for performance, passable but not great. Anyone who has disassembled a battery pack knows that the factory spot welds are hard to get apart. Even at its highest setting, these are still pretty easy to pop apart. The 4 packs that I rebuilt are working fine, but only time will tell how they hold up to prolonged heat and vibration.

Works well
But the drawback are the short attachments, other than that it works

Worked for me
I'm no expert with a spot welder. I bought this to repair the battery pack for my backpack sprayer. I was hoping to repair the battery pack at a cost that was less than purchasing a new one. The initial cost is probably close to a new battery pack price, but any future repairs, of the 20 something packs, will be much less expensive. It worked for me.
