Does what it says on the tin.
I needed to replace my old controller ( similar model ) because it had limited settings ( 2 sessions in a 24hrs ). This model has 3 sessions for Heating and 3 for hot water per day and a 7 day programme options. Fitted straight onto the existing wall socket. So easy peezy to fit. Programming takes a bit of time if you want to set individual times for each day. But it offers options to do multiple day sessions ie, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri & Sat, Sun. You can then edit any day if you like. For instance, a longer time for Hot Water on a Friday. So quite flexible, but be prepared to be pressing a lot. It kinda works like a digital watch worked, to cycle through options to set up. Only thing that concerned me was checking to make sure that I had the correct wiring to the unit to allow the central heating and hot water to work/heat independently.. it did phew. If it doesn’t, then both will heat up together… so I suggest you check if you want the flexibility. There’s lots of guidance online. Over all, the unit is 2 weeks old, and has worked without issues. Build quality is a little light feeling, but that’s not a concern, as it’s only handled occasionally. It doesn’t have the user interface of the more sophisticated smart controllers, but hey, once it’s set, it’s set… oh, it does have a “holiday” setting that you can set while away from home. Good value for money !

Replaced Potterton EP2002. Upgrade!
I replaced a Potterton EP2002 with the Drayton. I had to replace the backplate with the one included, but it was an easy straight swap (the only difference is that you remove the link between the live terminal & terminal 5 as it is made internally in the Drayton) & I now have independent control of the central heating & hot water. Can program both to come on up to 3 times a day at different times. Beautifully simple to program & operate just using the instructions printed on the drop down cover.Time & date automatically set as soon as you power up after installation & automatic summer/winter time adjustment.Sold by Amazon so you know you will get great customer service if there are any problems & half the price of screwfix. Also, Drayton have a great website with lots of support & these controllers are British made.Recommended.

Replaced an ancient Danfoss FP715
Bought to replace a very old Danfoss. Main selling point was the ability to use the existing backplate, thus no need to rewire.Fitting is very straightforward, remove old programmer and fit this onto existing backplate. The only issue I had is that this unit is a little wider than the old Danfoss so had to resite the backplate to allow more room. The installation/user guide is a single sheet that covers a number of models, which isn't ideal. Also, the guide is slightly misleading. The LP722 allows you to set different times for each day of the week. Probably the majority will want to set the same times for Mon - Fri. According to the text in the guide:... the display will ask 'SET MON to FRI prog?'It doesn't! The graphic below that text shows what the display actually shows, i.e. the five days are displayed.Once I realised the programmer wasn't going to ask 'SET MON to FRI prog?' it was a quick task to set teh times. Same logic for weekends. The only other comment is that my old Danfoss had the CH light and boost button on the left and water on the right, the Drayton has them reversed - no big deal.

Drayton Lifestyle LP722 Programmer
Needed to have a new programmer as our old one was the original with the heating system. Luckily the baseplate was exactly the same configuration so I didn't need to alter anything, slipped on and worked like a dream. (Instruction leaflet describes configuration)Pros:You can set your timer for either hot water or central heating (separate buttons for each)7 day timer with 3 on/off periods with holiday setting included7 day separate settings so you can have full control of water/heating thus saving moneyBack lit LCDVery reasonable price compared to B&Q and Wickes, etc.Cons:There are none!Would recommend this programmer if you are looking to upgrade an old out-of-date timer

Works perfectly
Works perfectlyIt's replaced an LP522 that had a flashing display and no function.Literally just 2 screws, pop off, pop on the new one.Just make sure you turn the power of to the panel beforehand,

Perfect replacement for faulty timer
Excellent programmer. Bought this to replace a faulty Siemens RWB2E programmer and the wiring was identical. I can't see how you'd need more features than this unit offers as far as basic timing goes.Install was very simple, but one thing worth nothing is there is a jumper on the back to switch between gravity fed and fully pumped - on my system (gravity fed) the hot water needs to be on for central heating to work. The default position of the jumper on mine was for fully pumped, so I had to change it to gravity fed, then the programmer works as expected.Really competitive price on Amazon at time of writing (£43) local supplier was nearly £20 more!

What a relief!!
Having wrestled first with Honeywell Networked Smart Controller for a couple of years (network problems, etc), then Google Nest System (virtually incomprehensible) for the last year, it will be huge relief to get back to a straight-forward wired controller which my wife and I can both use easily.I will have it installed during our next annual service.I have used this one before and know I can program it with a little bit of patience, and my wife can press the Boost button for Temperature and Water when required.
