very accurate
In these very expensive electric bill times its a good idea to know exactly how your home ac is doing. This is the cheapest and most reliable tool to have. Just stick it in the first ceiling register your air handler hits and test it to see how cold it is. Select the T1 setting which is temperature test #1. Test that close reg. Should be like 57-63 F.Then go to the farthest ceiling register and select T2 which is test #2. Test that far register. Then press the T1/T2 button again and it will show you the temp difference between the closest and farthest register. You can see how you ac plenum insulation in the ceiling is working and if you need some ceiling insulation. Its very handy. Can use it on your cars too! Love it!

Buy it here - it’s cheapest
Anyone in the HVAC business knows supply houses charge about $50 for this thing. it’s surprisingly tough even though it feels and looks cheap. Works great - buy it here and you can get two of them for the price of what one supply house charges.

Needs additional flexability.
Item has no magnet to allow it to attach to a metal vent.

Easy to use
Easy to use, easy to read and accurate. Build quality is very good. I've travelled with this and put it in my checked baggage for my flights. Since the point may make getting through TSA prohibitive. Takes maybe 15 seconds for an accurate temperature reading. Took this with me on my cruise. Many of my cabins on previous cruises have been hot (poor A/C). The cruise line in my case Carnival has a prescribed temperature range of 68 to 74 F. I like my room cold and the lower half of this range is acceptable. The pocket thermometer kept constant readings. I've seen the airport HVAC techs use these. For the price can't beat this little unit.

Easy to read and use, Good Buy.
What can I say, it does the job it's designed to do. Temp readings seem to be accurate and it's easier to read because the screen faces forward rather than sideways. It's a little heavy for a front pocket and seems to fall out kind of easy when you lean over, but they all do. The only real improvement I could see would be to add a backlight, but for the price this is a pretty good Temperature probe. The little hook on the end of the metal peen does a good job keeping it from falling out when taking TD as well. I'd buy it again
