Warmth
This black hiking coat is incredibly warm and perfect for cold, windy weather. It kept me cozy during long hikes, even in freezing temperatures. The material is durable and wind-resistant, with a snug fit that traps heat without feeling bulky. Stylish and practical—an excellent choice for outdoor adventures.

Lovely and snug
My daughter loves this jacket. It’s super lightweight so great for travelling and walks and on a visit to cheddar gorge on a really blustery showery day it kept her lovely and warm and dry. My only criticisms are there is no drawstring on the hood so she had to hold it up in the wind and the other is that she had a catchy fingernail and when she went to undo the jacket it caught in the fabric and made a tiny snag so she was a bit gutted as was I but otherwise pleased with the purchase

Girls blue jacket, stands out from the crowd!
Great jacket, bought for 9 yr old (bought 11/12 yrs) it fitted her very well and she loves it! I think I read that they come up small, that’s why I bought bigger and I’m glad I did, it was perfect and value for money.

Great coat for school!
Just what we needed as an Autumnal school jacket for our son. Its lovely and lightweight but warm and cosy for the days when it isn't freezing and you don't need the "big coat". Happy with the purchase. One thing I would say is that Mountain Warehouse sizing does come up a bit small, our son is 10 years old and I had to send back the 11-12 years size and settle for the 13 years which may last him 2 years at a push.

Perfect winter / spring coat for growing kids
You know the drill right? Buy a coat for your 10 year old and they wear it half a dozen times before they've grown out of it or the season changes and they don't need it anymore. Now, if you've forked out an arm and a leg for it, it's pretty frustrating but if you buy a cheap one it looks rubbish or doesn't last. Not so here. I've purchased two of these since the foist one was a hit with my youngest. They are adequately made, functional coats that are warm, come in a frankly astonishing array of colours and so far seem to stand up to typical 5 / 10 year old (lack of) care. They reduce down to almost nothing since it's mostly pockets of air that can be compressed and magically reinflate, clean easily with a quick wipe down with a cloth and best of all, cost about £20 so wont have you erupting like Vesuvius if it get's 'left in the park/friends house etc.Really good as a school coat - would recommend highly.

Fits well, fairly warm but needs additional layers below 5c, finish is generally poor
Comfortably fits my average build 7 year old daughter (1m40 tall) with a little room for growth. It's kept her warm enough in the recent cold spell, but my son has an identical coat in a different colour and he needed additional layers.Finish is just ok, with lots of loose threads and the stitching came undone on the inside of the cuff on the second wear. I've patched it up as she loves the colour, but it's not a great start. The zip doesn't catch the liner unlike a lot of similar style coats.Buy slightly bigger than you need if intending to use in winter to allow for layering. Keep in mind it's not waterproof either, but a brief light shower won't seep through the seams. They pack down small if carrying in a rucksack, but no stuff sack provided. If we get a few months of wear out of it, I'd buy another. If this review was useful, I'd be grateful if you click 'Helpful'.
