The Ellis Rugby South African Rugger. A vintage style Rugby Jersey incorporating the original Springbok patch badge as well as subtle Ellis Rugby branding. The patch badge features on the left chest with Ellis Rugby branding on the collar stand and arm. Paul Roos was the captain of the first South African team to tour the British Isles. The team was largely dominated by players from Western Province, and took place during 1906-07. They played 29 matches; including Tests against all four Home Nations. Manufactured from satin touch 100% Cotton. The South African Rugger features detailed embroidery on the original patch badge. Also included on this garment is matching inner placket, cuffs and collar as well as herringbone detail on the vents and velvet tape on the neck opening. In addition a complex '6' applique patch (celebrating Francois Pienaar and Nelson Mandela's 1995 World Cup celebrations) features on the back. Subtle Ellis Rugby branding is also included on the design with detailed embroidery featuring on the collar stand and tone on tone logo on the arm. Please note this jersey is not a licensed product, nor is it a playing shirt. It is inspired by the national heroes who have played the wonderful game of Rugby Football.
